On our last night of this three month journey, we visited one of my favorite vendors in Bangkok.
About a year and a half ago, while wandering through the streets of Bangkok and battling the intense heat, we stumbled across what quickly became my favorite smoothie stand in all of Asia. Ever since then, I make it a point to stop by whenever I'm in the city.
What amazes me is that she still remembers me after all this time. Then again, maybe ordering three smoothies in one visit made me a little hard to forget!
Tonight, as she was packing up for the evening, I asked if she was closed. Instead of turning us away, she smiled, reopened her stand, and made us something special.
Moments like that are what make travel so memorable.
As exciting as Bangkok is during the day, I might enjoy exploring it even more at night. The crowds thin out, giving you time to browse the shops at your own pace, wander through the alleyways, and discover parts of the city you would otherwise miss. And when the sun goes down, Chinatown truly comes alive with its lights, energy, and character.
It was the perfect way to spend our final night of an unforgettable adventure.
