As School Year 2025-2026 kicks off, the brightness and spirit of the children are in full bloom with glimmers of excitement and a budding sense of hope. On June 19, 2025, at 9:00 AM, officials from Don Restituto Baol Central School (DRBCS), Christ the King College — Teacher Education Program (TEP), and Barangay 19 and 20 gathered for the YAKAP for Literacy Care Program Turnover Rites in support of the learners’ educational journey.

At the heart of the program was the symbolic and heartfelt turnover of books, aimed at supporting students' academic growth. A key part of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which seeks to strengthen collaboration among institutions and address existing gaps in literacy resources. The YAKAP initiative centers on a shared mission of improving literacy while promoting apostolate-driven kindredship for authentic and passionate care.

The program was led by Dr. Carmelita C. Labadan, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Teacher Education Program, alongside Ms. Lina L. Mamaki, DRBCS Principal, and S. Ma. Anecita C. Navaja, RVM, School President of CKC. In her opening message, S. Navaja emphasized the importance of literacy as the foundation of learning, communication, and social connection. She also reflected on Matthew 9:35-38, reminding everyone of the call to service and compassion, especially in the field of education.

Ms. Mamaki expressed gratitude for the meaningful partnership and underscored the importance of collective efforts in nurturing learners holistically. She acknowledged the continued support of CKC and the active involvement of Barangay 19 and 20 officials, whose presence reflects a shared dedication to empowering both teachers and students.

Dr. Labadan concluded the event by acknowledging the vital role of all stakeholders in shaping the future of young learners. She emphasized that "it takes a village to raise a child," a message that resonated deeply with the program's goals embracing the call to serve with compassion, lead with purpose, and offer excellence grounded in faith and love for others.

Driven by excellence and professionalism, the higher education department swung again for another school year (2025-2026) through the , with a fun-fueled theme of celebration and connecting of relationships as CKCians in the academic sphere. The event was filled with distinctive smiles, happiness, vibes, and hype — a thrill to have walked through the pathway, absolved from isolation and having formed friendships at all levels.

The sun's radiance during the 18th day of June was fortunate to leap the freshest academic onset at Christ the King College - Gingoog City. An absolute day to begin and break a leg as CKCian clubs were poised to navigate dancing choreos to sustain and retain energy. Students were also shaken with multiple options for the clubbing as representatives have been vigorous to seek, persuade, and allure attention, letting freshmen exercise decisions and choose clubs fitting their expertise.

Few faculty members were present at the extravaganza, and were alive after the scenes of talents and charisma, which implored upon the values of a borderless solidarity.

The emotions become the tunnel to face future upheavals and urge readiness towards the highly anticipated academic workloads, where the eagerness to celebrate is appraised as the glittering gateway to begin the learning journey.
