CAMP SIMEON A OLA, Legazpi City, Albay - The 1st Civil-Military Operations Company, 9th Civil-Military Operations (Kaagapay) Battalion, Philippine Army, conducted a feeding activity for the pupils of San Francisco Daycare Center in Sitio San Francisco, Barangay Bacgong, Caramoan, Camarines Sur on 19 October 2025.

Led by Staff Sgt. Herbert Baal, the 1st CMO Company team, in partnership with personnel from the Bravo Company of 83rd Infantry Battalion, carried out the initiative as part of their continuing support for local government programs that promote the health and well-being of children and families in far-flung communities.

Around 50 daycare learners and local residents benefited from the activity, which was organized in collaboration with Mrs. Marvina D. Nacis, the daycare worker of San Francisco Daycare Center. The program aimed not only to encourage proper nutrition among young children but also to strengthen the Philippine Armyโ€™s connection with the people through compassion, service, and solidarity.

Through outreach efforts like this, the Kaagapay Battalion reaffirms its commitment to being a steadfast partner in peace, progress, and community development, living up to its name as a true โ€œKaagapay ng bawat Pilipino.โ€

CAMP BGEN SIMEON A OLA, Legazpi City โ€” The 1st and 2nd Companies of the 9th Civil-Military Operations (Kaagapay) Battalion, actively participated in the 63rd University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) Army ROTC Activation Day held on October 18, 2025, at the UNEP Parade Ground in Iriga City.

In support of the event, Kaagapay troopers led by 2nd Lt. Dionisio Sabolbora and 2nd Lt. Eldon Lloyd Sumodlayon, set up an Information Booth featuring discussions on the West Philippine Sea, aimed at deepening studentsโ€™ understanding of the countryโ€™s territorial integrity and national sovereignty. The team also distributed Philippine Army recruitment materials, encouraging the youth to explore opportunities in military service and to contribute to nation-building.

The celebration underscored the strong partnership between the Philippine Army and the Reserve Officersโ€™ Training Corps (ROTC) program in nurturing disciplined, patriotic, and service-oriented youth leaders. It also highlighted the Armyโ€™s continuing commitment to engage the youth sector through education, civic awareness, and community relations activities.

Through its participation, the Kaagapay Battalion reaffirms its dedication to fostering patriotism, civic responsibility, and national awareness among students, while promoting the Armyโ€™s mission of peace and development across the Bicol Region.

CAMP BGEN SIMEON A OLA, Legazpi City โ€” The 9th Civil-Military Operations (Kaagapay) Battalion joined the Tugtugan at Zumba sa Parke activity at Kalayaan Park, Legazpi City on September 21, 2025.

The event, organized by the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5), gathered uniformed personnel and community groups including the Philippine Navy, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and local Zumba organizations.

Capt. Michelle Estares, acting executive officer, led the Kaagapay team in the activity, which promoted health, camaraderie, and stronger ties between security forces and the public.

Through its participation, the 9th CMO Battalion reaffirmed the Armyโ€™s support for community-based programs that foster unity, wellness, and closer civil-military cooperation in the Bicol Region.
