Tomorrow November 23, 2024, the Universal Church Celebrates the Solemnity of Christ the Kings.

FRIENDLY REMINDER: KNEEL BEFORE THE TRUE KING

As the Blessed Sacrament passes by, we are presented with a unique opportunity to encounter the living God. Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords is truly present in the consecrated Host, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

Let us seize this moment to express our faith and devotion. Kneeling before the Blessed Sacrament is an act of adoration, humility, and love. It is a tangible way to recognize Christ's sovereignty and submit ourselves to His divine will.

As the procession passes, let us set aside our distractions and focus on the sacred presence before us. Let us pray, sing, and offer silent acts of worship. May this experience deepen our faith, renew our hope, and inspire us to live as true disciples of Christ.

As we approach the end of the liturgical year, we celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King. This special day reminds us of Jesus Christ's ultimate authority and reign over all creation. Itโ€™s a time to reflect on His love, mercy, and justice and renew our commitment to following Him as our Lord and Savior.

With this solemnity, we bid farewell to the past liturgical year, its joys, challenges, and blessings. As we prepare to embark on a new liturgical journey, we enter the season of Advent. This season invites us to anticipate the coming of Christ, both in His first coming at Christmas and in His glorious return at the end of time.

Let us embrace this Advent season with hope, joy, and a renewed spirit. May we open our hearts to the message of salvation and prepare ourselves to welcome the Christ child into our lives. As we journey through this sacred time, may we be filled with peace, love, and the grace of God.

In the secular world, and especially in the western country, Halloween has become one of the most important holidays of the year, with millions of children and adults dressing up as their favorite heroes, superstars, ghouls and goblins.

While some people have connected Halloween to earlier pagan celebrations of the new year, Halloween actually has significant Catholic roots. The name itself comes from All Hollow's Eve โ€“ that is, the Vigil of All Saintsโ€™ Day, when Catholics remember those who have gone before us to enter our heavenly home. Immediately afterwards, on November 2, the Church commemorates all the faithful departed still detained in Purgatory, and prays in suffrage for them.

As we celebrate the Halloween, may we be reminded of its roots. Remember, hallow means HOLY and not WICKEDLY!
Please Celebrate Halloween the Christian way, not the pagan way. Let's honor the Saints not the Demons.
