“Even Believers Need Healing”
Many people believe that choosing God means life will suddenly become easy — no pain, no tears, no struggles. But the truth is, following Christ doesn’t remove your humanity. Even Jesus Himself, the Son of God, experienced sorrow, loneliness, and anguish. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He said, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.” (Matthew 26:38)
Faith in God doesn’t mean you will never suffer; it means you will never suffer alone. God walks beside you through every valley, not to prevent the storm, but to give you peace and strength in the middle of it.
So if you are hurting right now, please don’t hide your pain thinking it makes you less spiritual. Depression doesn’t make you a weak Christian, it makes you a human who needs God’s healing. It’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to rest. And it’s okay to cry out to God.
To those who have drifted away from Him because of the weight of life, let this be your sign to come home. God is not angry at your distance; He’s patiently waiting with open arms. You don’t need to force yourself back to Him, just take the first small step. Talk to Him again. Open your Bible again. Surround yourself with people who carry Christ’s love, not condemnation.
And to those who want to lead others back to the Lord. Remember, people are not drawn to God by pressure or guilt, but by love. Show them Jesus through your patience, your kindness, and your compassion. Be the reason someone remembers that God is still good.
