GOOD NEWS: INDIA TO GRANT VISA-FREE ENTRY TO PINOY TOURISTS
Filipino tourists can now explore India without paying visa fees, following New Delhi’s move to grant visa-free entry to travelers from the Philippines. The announcement was made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a joint press statement with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. after their bilateral meeting at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
This development is part of the strengthened strategic partnership and expanded cooperation between the two nations, and comes shortly after the Philippines granted visa-free access to Indian nationals starting June 2025.
“I thank Prime Minister Modi in turn for the introduction of a scheme to grant visa free of charge to Filipino tourists traveling to India,” said President Marcos, who also extended a warm invitation to Indian travelers to visit the Philippines.
The visa-free arrangement is expected to boost tourism, cultural exchange, and diplomatic ties between the two countries.
