Valuing the molders beyond the chalkboard, GNHS-H officially kicked off its National Teachers’ Month celebration with a heartfelt tribute to the invaluable role of educators. As part of it, the SSLG officers led the distribution of cupcakes and tickets, serving as both tokens of appreciation and invitations to join the month-long celebration prepared in honor of the teachers. The initiative highlighted educators not only as mentors inside the classroom but also as guides who inspire, nurture, and shape the future of every learner.

With brooms and unity in hand, Guihulngan National High School–Hilaitan conducted its Clean-up Drive Program in line with the celebration of Math and Science Month, today, September 5, 2025. Learners, together with teachers and staff, actively participated in cleaning classrooms, hallways, and school grounds, fostering a sense of responsibility and unity. The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness, instill discipline, and encourage students to take part in maintaining a clean and green school community. This initiative not only supported the Math and Science Month Program but also strengthened the school’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.

📢✨ Good News, Hilaitanians! ✨📢

We are glad to inform you that the CR Padlocking Project is now officially functional! 🚻🔑

This project was implemented to ensure that our comfort rooms remain clean, safe, and well-maintained for the benefit of all. By using a padlock system, we aim to promote discipline, accountability, and proper care of our school facilities.

🔑 Guidelines for Accessing the CR:
1️⃣ Proceed to ABM 12 – Delos Santos to borrow the key.
2️⃣ Write your full name in the log book when borrowing.
3️⃣ Use the CR properly and maintain cleanliness at all times.
4️⃣ Return the key immediately to ABM 12 – Delos Santos after use.

This system may be simple, but it plays a big role in building a culture of responsibility, respect, and cleanliness within our school.

✨ Let us protect and maintain our facilities not only for ourselves but also for the future Hilaitanians who will follow. 💙

Executive Order No. 19, Series of 2025
“AN ORDER SUSPENDING CLASSES FROM PRE-SCHOOL UP TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN ALL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN GUIHULNGAN CITY EFFECTIVE AUGUST 26, 2025 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE” IS STILL IN EFFECT. (Section 3 of EO)

The suspension of classes is extended until tomorrow, August 27, 2025. Another update will be posted tomorrow at 12:00 NN.

Please remain cautious and continue to observe safety at all times.

ADVISORY

The Department of Education – Negros Island Region (DepEd–NIR) informs all Schools Division Offices, school heads, teachers, learners, and stakeholders of a recent incident involving a scam perpetrated by an individual pretending to be a DepEd employee. The person of interest, wearing a DepEd uniform, deceived four (4) high school students and took six (6) cellphones.

In view of this, everyone is directed to exercise utmost vigilance. Please be reminded:
• Only legitimate DepEd personnel carry official DepEd identification cards. Always verify their identity before engaging with them.
• Learners and teachers must never entrust personal belongings to individuals claiming to be from DepEd without proper validation.
• Any suspicious person or similar incident must be reported immediately to school and local authorities.

The Regional Office underscores that the safety and protection of learners and personnel remains its top-most priority. Let us remain alert and cooperative in preventing similar fraudulent acts.
