BUENAVISTA, Guimaras - Buenavista National High School (BNHS) has adopted the โHinay/Ease Inโ Learning Continuity Level today, August 6, 2026 after classes were suspended due to heavy rains, allowing the school to continue providing quality education while prioritizing the safety of its learners, teachers, and staff.
The decision to adopt Hinay/Ease In Level is in line with DepEd Memorandum No. 377, s. 2026, or the Guidelines on Learning Continuity in Emergencies, which encourages schools to utilize the most suitable learning continuity options in response to emergencies and disasters.
The Hinay/Ease In Level aims to lessen the academic workload of students while still providing them with engaging learning activities and opportunities to continue their education despite adverse weather conditions.
Teachers are encouraged to design simple and manageable lessons that students can complete independently at their respective homes, such as review materials, recreational readings, reflection activities, and other enrichment tasks.
The school administration recognized the challenges that students may face during severe weather conditions, such as limited access to electricity and internet connection, as well as the need to prioritize their safety during emergencies.

At the same time, we understand the importance of ensuring that they continue to receive quality education even amidst unavoidable circumstances such as natural disasters. Therefore, we encourage them to continue learning through the Hinay/Ease In Level learning continuity option,โ said Dr. Mary Joy M. Fernandez, School Principal III.
The adoption of the new learning continuity level is a testament to the Department of Educationโs commitment to providing quality yet flexible education that responds to the needs of the learners and the community while emphasizing the importance of safety during emergencies.
