To contribute to the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through research and extension work, the two-days Institutional Extension Conference 2024 was held starting this October 17 to 18, 2024 at the Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) โ Main Campus, with the theme: "From Knowledge to Action: Achieving SDGs through Research and Extension".
For them to show support towards the institutionโs attainment of these global aims, the faculty from the College of Education (COED) in ESSU โ Guiuan Campus, namely Dr. Cenby Eppie G. Gaytos, Dr. Eddie C. Manzano, Lorelin Dagale, Ma. Christine P. Daganio, and Joanna Len B. Padullo, presented an extension-based study entitled: โImpact Assessment of the BEED Literacy Instruction and Numeracy Enhancement Program in St. Genevieve, Barangay Tagporo, Guiuan, Eastern Samar: Evaluating Educational Outcomes and Community Benefitsโ. The study โevaluates the effectiveness of the Extension Activity conducted within the community, focusing on its benefits for beneficiaries and implementers, particularly in literacy instruction and numeracy enhancementโ. These efforts maximize the potential of extension activities conducted by the Universityโs colleges and programs in promoting its research and extension thematic areas.
