Event Management Culmination:
A Spectular Finale
On December 5, 2024, the much-anticipated Events Management subject Culmination took place at the ESSU-Guiuan Function Hall, bringing together industry experts, resource speakers, judges, and notable guests. The event served as a testament to the hardwork and dedication of the BS Entrep III students, culminating in an exciting, glamorous and educational experience for all attendees.
The event was hosted by Miss Lorelin Dagale, a faculty member- alongside Jake Rayla and Mariflor Elacion as co-hosts. Their dynamic hosting style set the tone for a lively and engaging event, filled with laughter, inspiration, and learning.
The program commenced with a grand red carpet arrival of the attendees, looking equally fabulous. It was followed by the presence of Ma'am Abegail Sharon Q. Celis, BS AIS Program Head with her Welcome Remarks.
The event's highlight was the insightful keynote address delivered by Miss Kinna Mae G. Kwan, an event planning expert and Fin Cafe x Bar owner, who focused on the importance of building strong client relationships, strategic partnerships, and innovative thinking. Eaman Joseph G. Macapugas, who has been in the events industry for several years, shared valuable insights into the latest trends in event management and the importance of adaptability in a rapidly changing landscape. The speech left the attendees, especially the aspiring event planners, motivated and better prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the field.
The Judges
The event featured a thrilling event decor setup and Hollywood/Masquerade-themed competition where students showcased their creative minds. The judging panel included some of the most respected and celebrated figures in the pageantry industry and in the university.
Their feedback was invaluable in shaping the careers of the next generation of event planners.
Attendees and Participants; Special Guests
The event was attended by over 100 guests, including BS Entrep III students, professionals and a number of special guests were in attendance, including Dr. Rotsen Yodico, CBMA Faculty members, SK Fed President Hon. Dale Somoray and event designer Mr. Leonil Jake Lucero.
The students were engaged and enthusiastic, with many showing interest in the different aspects of event management, from planning to ex*****on.
Participants in the competition showcased their fashion sense and executing an event that was judged on various criteria such as creativity and overall presentation.
A Final Word
As the culmination of months of hard work and dedication, the event management showcase was a resounding success, marked by inspiring speeches, intense competition, and an invaluable networking opportunity for all involved. The collaboration between the BS Entrep III-A & B created an atmosphere of learning and growth, setting the stage for future leaders in the event management field.
