Post-Implementation Review | November 4–5, 2025

Thank You, Lord, for the wisdom, strength, and guidance that helped us build a better epidemiology and surveillance system for Hermosa.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as Disease Surveillance Officer. I am honored to share our experiences in Epidemiology & Surveillance. I never expected that I would have the chance to speak with representatives of DOH Epidemiology Bureau, Center for Disease Control, and Global Fund International,Task Force for Global Health,Pbsb— international institutions I only once read in my literature reviews.

Thank you to our Mayor Anne Inton, our MHO Dr. Warren S. Valencia,Councilor on health Gelly Grace Santos for their guidance,support and supervision. For our hardworking health workers—BHWs, nurses, midwives,doctors—along with DepEd, MSWD, Agriculture, Environment, and our barangay officials for supporting our One Health approach.

Together, we continue to build a healthier Hermosa ❤️

🦠👣 HEALTH ADVISORY: HAND, FOOT, AND MOUTH DISEASE (HFMD)

Ang HFMD ay isang nakakahawang sakit na dulot ng virus na karaniwang nakaaapekto sa mga bata, ngunit maaari ring dapuan ang matatanda.
Panatilihin nating malusog at ligtas ang ating mga pamilya sa pamamagitan ng mga sumusunod na paalala at gabay:

🧼 Prevention and Control Measures:
✅ Regular at masinsinang paghuhugas ng kamay gamit ang sabon at tubig. Gumamit ng alcohol-based sanitizer kung walang sabon at tubig.
✅ Palakasin ang infection prevention and control sa tahanan, paaralan, daycare, komunidad, at health facilities.
✅ Iwasang magbahagi ng personal na gamit tulad ng kutsara, baso, at kubyertos, lalo na kung may may sakit sa bahay.
✅ Magsuot ng PPE (mask, gloves, gown) kung nag-aalaga ng pasyenteng may HFMD.
✅ Sundin ang minimum public health standards – proper cough/sneeze etiquette at physical distancing.

📋 Case Reporting and Surveillance:
🕐 Ang lahat ng health workers at facilities ay kailangang i-report ang mga kaso ng HFMD (suspect, probable, confirmed) sa loob ng 24 oras sa kanilang Local Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (LESU).
📞 Ang clustering ng HFMD cases ay dapat agad iulat sa Event-Based Surveillance and Response (ESR) ng Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (RESU).

🩺 Clinical Assessment & Management:
🔹 Karaniwang sintomas: lagnat, singaw sa bibig, at pantal/butlig sa kamay, paa, o puwitan.
🔹 Bantayan ang mga senyales ng komplikasyon tulad ng hirap sa paghinga o matinding panghihina.
🔹 Ang mga banayad na kaso ay kadalasang gumagaling sa loob ng 7–10 araw.
🔹 Ang mga bata na may HFMD ay dapat magpahinga sa bahay at bumalik lamang sa paaralan kapag wala nang lagnat at tuyo na ang mga sugat.
🔹 Ang mga malubhang kaso ay dapat dalhin agad sa ospital para sa karampatang lunas.

👩‍⚕️ Maging alerto, mag-ingat, at agad magpatingin sa pinakamalapit na health facility kung may sintomas ng HFMD.

Ang Influenza-like Illnesses (ILI) ay mga nakahahawang sakit na dulot ng virus o bacteria na maaaring magdulot ng impeksyon sa ilong, lalamunan, at baga.
Karaniwang sintomas nito ang lagnat, ubo, sipon, pananakit ng katawan, at panghihina.

💡 Tandaan:
✅ Ugaliing maghugas ng kamay.
✅ Takpan ang ilong at bibig kapag umuubo o bumabahin.
✅ Iwasan ang matataong lugar kung may sakit.
✅ Magpabakuna at magpalakas ng resistensya.

🫶 Protektahan ang sarili, pamilya, at komunidad laban sa mga sakit na tulad ng trangkaso.
