Blue Paradise Initiative: Protecting Biodiversity, Empowering Communities, Inspiring Generations
This video offers a brief yet meaningful glimpse into the vast potential of the proposed Naval Eco-Tourism Project—an emerging gateway toward sustainable coastal development and community transformation.
As part of our on-site evaluation for the Coastal Sustainable Livelihood Proposal, we journeyed across the coastal and marine areas with the support and coordination of the LGU-Hilongos Public Employment Service Office (PESO), led by Municipal PESO Head Sir Gev Go Olo. We were also guided safely through the waters by our trusted boat master, Sir Robinson Retulla, whose expertise ensured a smooth and insightful field assessment.
This initiative is further strengthened by the unwavering commitment and visionary leadership of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Manuel R. Villahermosa, whose continued support for environmental protection and sustainable livelihood programs reflects a deep dedication to both people and nature.
The Blue Paradise Initiative envisions a future where marine sanctuaries and mangrove forests are not only preserved but transformed into living classrooms, eco-tourism destinations, and sources of sustainable livelihood. It is anchored on three core pillars: Protecting Biodiversity, Empowering Communities, and Inspiring Generations—ensuring that development is both environmentally responsible and socially inclusive.
What you see in this video is just a glimpse of a much larger vision—a “blue window” into a future where nature and community thrive together in harmony.
