KUYA RANDY
OFFICIAL STATEMENT
To Our Valued Listeners and Advertisers
We've just received concerns from some politicians who are frustrated that their opponents are running political ads and jingles on our station.
We want to clarify that as a commercial radio station, our revenue model includes offering airtime for political advertisements from all legally recognized political parties and individual candidates.
This allows us to serve a broad range of advertisers and ensures all candidates have the opportunity to reach our listeners in Bayawan City , Basay and Sta. Catalina.
Our decision to air those ads is purely business-related and does not reflect any endorsement of a particular candidate or party.
Our station's policy is to air political advertisements from all parties as a commercial service.
We understand your frustration regarding the political advertisements from your opponent being aired on our station.
However, we want to reiterate our station's policy of providing equal opportunity.
It's important to remember that at the very start of the campaign period, our staff and sales representatives contacted you and provided our rate card.
Unfortunately, no action was taken at that time.
It is only now, with the election day rapidly approaching and the campaign period nearing its end, that these concerns have surfaced.
We hope this issue will not be the reason for allied candidates to withdraw their alliance.
We also want to reiterate that this radio station is operated by 5K Broadcasting Network Inc. and owned by Doc. Ramel Uy, and has no political ownership.
Our commitment to maintaining a neutral stance remains firm.
Thank you very much for understanding.
