"𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓?" | BSBA Financial Management Magna Cum Laude 𝙈𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙙 𝙅𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙧 𝙍𝙖𝙙𝙟𝙖-𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙢 encouraged his fellow graduates to stop dwelling on the past and start embracing the present. In his valedictory speech during the 8th Year-End Commencement Exercises of Cluster 2 at the PRMSU Gymnasium, he challenged the Class of 2025 to ask not “What if?” but “Now what?” — a mindset that pushes them to move forward with hope and purpose.

He reminded his batchmates that growth starts in the now, and that whatever path they choose, they are more than capable — because they are proud graduates of President Ramon Magsaysay State University. | via Hart Elamparo

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | CBAPA Main Bags Half of PRMSU’s Top 10 Outstanding Student Leader Awards

Among the ten Outstanding Ramonian Student Leaders of President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU), five students from the College of Business, Accountancy, and Public Administration (CBAPA) – Main Campus – made it to the top ranks, as officially released by the PRMSU Student Organizations Page yesterday.

Althea Marie T. Fernandez, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management (BSBA-FM) student, ranked second on the list. Following her were James Adrian I. Devera, a Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) student; Nicole Grace T. Decano from BSBA-FM; Justin Jay A. Zablan from BSBA-Human Resource Management (BSBA-HRM); and Patrick Aaron E. Gaspar, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management (BSBA-MM), who placed third to fifth and eighth, respectively.

“Let’s keep that Ramonian spirit strong, because there’s nothing quite like serving our own,” said Fernandez, reflecting on the value of leadership and service within the university.

Moreover, 22 CBAPA students from the Main Campus were also recognized as service awardees for their active involvement and contributions to student leadership and organizational initiatives.

The graduation ceremony will take place on July 21 at the PRMSU Gymnasium, alongside the College of Nursing and the College of Agriculture and Forestry—specifically for graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science program. | via Hart S. Elamparo

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | PRMSU-CBAPA Welcomes PICPA; Receives Donated Accounting Books

In celebration of Accountancy Week, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) visited the College of Business, Accountancy, and Public Administration (CBAPA) of President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) at the college’s Audio-Visual Room (AVR), July 16.

CBAPA Dean, Mr. Allan T. Dela Peña opened the event with a welcoming and grateful tone, emphasizing how the college produced Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the past years. Followed by the PICPA President, Mrs. Gina D. Achacoso who also delivered insightful and empowering remarks.

Attending the event were selected officers from the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) and the Junior Accounting Information System Analysts (JAISA), along with first and second year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) & Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System (BSAIS) students.

Among the PICPA representatives who visited were Mrs. Gina D. Achacoso, Chapter President; Mr. Don Mark D. Dolojan, Executive Vice President; Mr. Jan Ray D. Dayap, Secretary; Mr. Julius Yomer M. Molino, Officer for Publications; Mrs. Rosalinda Ecdao, Director for Government Sector; and Mrs. Maribel M. Santos, Director for Professional Development—all were CPAs who actively contribute to the organization’s initiatives.

As part of their visit, PICPA generously donated accounting books to the college, reinforcing their commitment to support academic excellence and professional development in the field of accountancy. | via Darlene Relopez

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The three-day Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) Battery Examination 2025 starts today, July 2, at the College of Business, Accountancy, and Public Administration (CBAPA) Building.

Second-year students from the BSA and BS Accounting Information System (BSAIS) programs are taking part in the exam, which serves as a major academic requirement for those seeking to advance in the Accountancy program.

Today, June 19, 2025, we commemorate the 164th birth anniversary of Dr. José Rizal. Born on June 19, 1861, in Calamba, Laguna, he was named José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda.

A physician, patriot, and writer, Rizal authored Noli Me Tángere and El Filibusterismo—novels that exposed the injustices of Spanish colonial rule. His works awakened Filipino national consciousness and inspired the movement for independence.
