Cluster 1 (CBAPA–CTHM) Red Falcons once again soared to the top as they claimed the overall championship title in the 3rd President’s Cup 2025, marking an extraordinary three-peat victory β€” Back-to-Back-to-Back Champions! With an astounding haul of 52 gold, 49 silver, and 28 bronze medals, the Red Falcons cemented their dominance and strengthened their legacy as the undisputed powerhouse of the university’s annual intramurals.

From the courts to the pool and field, the Falcons showcased unmatched skill, discipline, and teamwork across every arena they entered. Their golden triumphs came from major sporting events such as basketball, indoor and beach volleyball, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, chess, athletics, swimming, and taekwondo, reflecting their well-rounded excellence and competitive edge.

The Red Falcons’ triumph was made possible through the unwavering support of the College Deans, faculty, and the Student Body Organization (SBO), whose collective commitment kept every athlete well-prepared, inspired, and cared for throughout the tournament.

"As CBAPA SBO President, at first pressured ako all these days, but with all the hard work of the CBAPA SBO officers, focal persons β€” especially the working committee β€” and also with the help of the CTHM SBO and faculty, it’s super fulfilling and nakakaproud. π’ππŽπ‘π“π’ 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | Red Falcons Land a Kick, Bag 7 Golds and 1 Bronze in Taekwondo

Cluster 1 (CBAPA–CTHM) Red Falcons added another feather to their cap with a remarkable performance in the Men’s and Women’s Taekwondo event held at the PRMSU Gymnasium on October 15.

In the men’s individual poomsae, Taekwondo jin Yzekiel Menor seized the gold medal after impressing the judges with his precise technique and graceful ex*****on, earning an outstanding 8.5 points.

The kyurogi (sparring) men’s division also witnessed dominance from the Red Falcons, as Tom Ryan Onggao, Denmar Diano, and Paul Gabriel B. Eclarino were awarded gold medals.

Meanwhile, Chriss Gabriel P. Ilao delivered a valiant effort in the –74kg category, claiming the bronze medal after a fierce face-off with Cluster 3’s Paul Bautista. Ilao scored 12–8 in the first round before conceding 5 gamjeom in the second.

In the women’s kyurogi division, Edsell Faye EspaΓ±ol and Kesniel Casey Merto both secured gold medals, demonstrating agility and determination throughout their bouts. Adding to the team’s golden streak, Alessandra Red D. Asuncion triumphed over Cluster 4’s Mylene Angulo with a 12–2 score in the first round before finishing strong with a knockout in the second.

With a total haul of 7 golds and 1 bronze, the Red Falcons once again showcased their fighting spirit, discipline, and excellenceβ€”proving why Cluster 1 continues to soar high in the 3rd President’s Cup.

Cluster 1 (CBAPA–CTHM) Red Falcons Men’s Chess Team displayed remarkable strategy and composure to secure the bronze medal in the 3rd President’s Cup Chess Tournament held at the PRMSU E-Library on October 15.

Under the Swiss system, the team finished with 21 Β½ points, narrowly trailing behind Cluster 4 (23 pts) for silver and Cluster 2 (26 pts) for gold.

Standing out for his consistent performance, Edvian Mangubat ranked fourth overall in the individual standings, proving his skill and resilience throughout the rounds.

The Red Falcons’ strong finish underscored their dedication and mental discipline, further contributing to Cluster 1’s continued dominance in the overall competition.

Cluster 1 (CBAPA–CTHM) once again demonstrated intellectual prowess as the Red Falcons Women’s Chess Team captured the gold medal in the 3rd President’s Cup, held at the President Ramon Magsaysay State University E-Library on October 15.

Competing under the Swiss system, the team tallied an impressive 20Β½ points, surpassing Cluster 4 with 17Β½ points and Cluster 6 with 16Β½ points.

Leading the team was Grace Irish Sibug, whose exceptional performance earned her the silver medal in the individual category. Her composed play and tactical precision served as a driving force behind the team’s overall success.

SPORTS COMPLEX, October 15, 2025 –
The roar of the crowd, the squeak of sneakers, and the swish of the ball painted a picture of pure domination as the Red Falcons of Cluster 1, under the masterful guidance of Head Coach James Avecilla, dismantled the Bulls of Cluster 10 to clinch a monumental 3-peat in the Men’s Basketball Division Championship of the 3rd President's Cup.

From the opening tip-off, it was clear the Red Falcons were locked in, their eyes firmly set on the prize. By the end of the first quarter, they held a narrow 17–13 lead. Swift fast breaks, pinpoint passes, and relentless scoring runs saw their advantage surge β€” and by halftime, the scoreboard read a staggering 50–30 in favor of Cluster 1. As the third quarter concluded, the deficit had ballooned to 79–48, an almost insurmountable mountain to climb.

The Red Falcons’ defense was a brick wall, and their offense a scoring clinic. The final buzzer confirmed the inevitable: a dominant 94–63 victory, cementing their status as the undisputed Kings of the Court for three consecutive years of President's Cup.

β€œUna sa lahat, siyempre napakasarap sa feeling na makagawa ng history at makapag-3-peat po yung CBAPA–CTHM,” said Madridejo, who served as Team Captain and Player of the Game. He also expressed his hope that the rookies who will carry the name of Cluster 1 will continue its proud legacy.

π’ππŽπ‘π“π’ 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | Red Falcons Soar to Silver After Hard-Fought Futsal Final Defeat

COE Grounds, October 15, 2025 β€” The Futsal Championship reached a thrilling climax on Wednesday morning, as Cluster 1 (CBAPA-CTHM) Red Falcons secured the silver medal, following a tense and passionate 3-1 defeat against the dominant Cluster 4 (CTE-CON-JHS) Greyhounds in the final showdown.

The championship atmosphere was palpable from the opening whistle, with both teams displaying the intensity expected of a title match. The Greyhounds struck first, opening the scoring in the 7th minute of the first half, but the Red Falcons refused to yield. Their quick response came just minutes later, slotting the ball past the Cluster 4 goalkeeper to level the score at 1-1. The remainder of the first set was a fierce, end-to-end battle, with Cluster 1 player Jasmen Ragasa unfortunately sustaining an injury just before the half-time whistle.

In the second set, the reigning champions, Cluster 4, raised their tempo and began to dictate the rhythm of the game. Their persistent pressure paid dividends in the 10th minute when star player Angela Gonzales unleashed a powerful strike into the top corner, putting Cluster 4 ahead 2-1. They quickly followed up with another goal, establishing a decisive 3-1 lead.

Despite the mounting setback, Cluster 1 showed tremendous spirit and resolve. The Red Falcons launched multiple attacks in the final minutes, fighting desperately to close the gap. Defender Rafhiel Krish Reyes, assisted by Evangelyn Balane, came agonizingly close to scoring again, only to see their powerful shot ricochet off the crossbar. Ultimately, the Cluster 4 defense held strong, confirming the Greyhounds as the 2025 President's Cup Futsal Champion.

Though the Gold eluded them, the Cluster 1 Red Falcons can hold their heads high. Their journey to the final was marked by thrilling wins, standout individual performances, and a commendable display of teamwork and resilience that earned them the admiration of fans and rivals alike. The silver medal is a fitting testament to their impressive tournament run.
