𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒊𝒅𝒘𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏

On April 27, the School of Midwifery conducted a clinical orientation for fifty-three (53) first-year Bachelor of Science in Midwifery students who will undergo clinical exposure at the City of Ilagan Medical Center and Gov. Faustino N. Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital. The activity aimed to prepare the students for their upcoming Related Learning Experience (RLE) and initial clinical exposure.

The orientation was led by the Clinical Coordinator, Ma’am Ruth S. Malayao, together with the School of Midwifery faculty and clinical instructors, Ma'am Deanne R. Dulay, Ma’am Bai Honey M. Antonio, Ma’am Namilyn T. Padre, and Ma’am Hyacinth P. Bueno, in coordination with the staff of the City of Ilagan Medical Center and Gov. Faustino N. Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital.

The activity served as an introduction to clinical expectations, general guidelines, and preparation for hospital-based learning experiences. It also provided students with an initial understanding of the clinical environment to help them adjust and transition smoothly into their duties.

𝐈𝐒𝐔 𝐈𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦

Isabela State University (ISU) Ilagan campus recorded a 100% passing rate among first-time takers and an overall passing rate of 80% in the April 2026 Midwives Licensure Examination, based on results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The university’s performance surpassed the national passing rates, which were posted at 79.18% for first-time takers and 42.42% overall. The outcome reflects ISU Ilagan’s sustained commitment to quality instruction and training in midwifery, producing competent professionals prepared to deliver safe, responsive, and quality care for mothers and children.
