A momentous occasion unfolded at the Amphitheater of the Provincial Capitol as the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery students, Batch 2027-2028, gathered for their much-anticipated ๐๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ฒ, carrying the inspiring theme: "๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐

The event commenced with a Eucharistic Celebration led by Rev. Fr. Timoteo A. Ronan from the St. Ferdinand Parish Church, who offered a solemn blessing for the students as they prepared to embark on their noble calling. Following the mass, the formal ceremonies began with a grand Processional March, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem and the ISU Hymn. Ms. Debbie N. Dalayap, RM, LPT, MSPH, the esteemed College Dean, warmly welcomed the attendees, setting a tone of gratitude and excitement for the day. Ms. Precious Joy L. Ramos, Clinical Coordinator, presented the proud candidates for pinning. Their confirmation was formally conducted by Engr. Alfonso R. Simon, Ph.D., Cluster Executive Officer, officially recognizing the students' preparedness to serve with competence and professionalism.
An Inspirational Message was shared by Prof. Boyet L. Batang, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs and President-elect, represented by Dr. Ricardo Q. Camungao, who encouraged the candidates to pursue excellence and integrity in their future profession, reminding them of the purpose and pride that come with the midwifery profession. Highlighting the event, Jolo R. Galabay, Faculty and Birthing Center Manager, introduced the distinguished Guest of Honor and Speaker, Dr. Melchor C. Dela Cruz Jr., MD, MHA, FPOGS, Chairman of the Board of Midwifery. Dr. Dela Cruz delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the vital role midwives play in safeguarding the health and dignity of mothers and newborns. His words were deeply appreciated, providing invaluable inspiration and strengthening the path where the midwifery students are taking.
A beautiful portrayal of the Entrance of Madonna, performed by Ms. Namilyn T. Padre, faculty member of the School of Midwifery, added a profound spiritual symbolism to the ceremony, honoring motherhood and the sacredness of the midwifery profession. The heart of the ceremony, the Pinning and Candle Lighting followed. With the assistance of faculty, staff, administrative officials, and the Guest of Honor, the students were pinned and their candles lit, symbolizing the passing of knowledge, dedication, and the enduring role of service.
The Midwifeโs Pledge was led by Rose-An D. Mauro, a Level 2 student, solemnly highlighting the students' promise to uphold the values of professionalism, integrity, and loyalty in their work, ensuring that they serve their patients, community, and profession with unwavering dedication and respect."
This was followed by heartfelt renditions of the Class Song and the Songs of Dedication, "Follow Your Dreams" by Sheryn Regis and "Do I Make You Proud" by Taylor Hicks. As the students handed flowers to their beloved parents, the moment was filled with deep emotion, with many students and parents moved to tears.
Gratitude poured forth through the Words of Gratitude from Mrs. Jewil C. Cervera, parent of a Level 2 student, and the Words of Appreciation from Beina Amarillo, a Level 1 student.
Reymalyn O. Buenacosa, Level 2 student, expressed the Words of Commitment, She emphasized their commitment to continuous learning and to advancing the welfare of mothers and newborns. serve with excellence, and uphold the values of the midwifery profession. Maโam Ruth S. Malayao offered the Response from the Faculty, assuring the students of the unwavering support of their mentors even beyond the walls of the university. The Midwifeโs Prayer, led by Lovilyn A. Baylen, a Level 1 student, invoked divine guidance for all future endeavors.
Finally, Dr. Zach Chamberlaine M. Corpuz, DIT, Director of Academic Affairs, delivered the Closing Remarks, congratulating the candidates and reminding them of the significant impact they are destined to make in the world. The ceremony, skillfully emceed by Faculty Member Maโam Bai Honey M. Antonio, led the program with grace and professionalism, contributing to the success of the event.
