6KM for 6 Years: Run for Rosalin 🕊️

She ran with pride. Now we run with purpose.

Rosalin Dala, one of Iligan’s finest runners, the 7th of the 8 Dala siblings, fought a courageous 6-year battle against malignant non-Hodgkin lymphoma, diffuse large cell variant, and CML - Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. A podium finisher. A sister. A fighter. A daughter of Iligan..

This 6KM run is our way of remembering Rosalin her strength, her spirit, her story. Let’s unite as one community to support the Dala family who’s given so much to Iligan’s running community.

Dear LTO,

Good evening,

I am a concerned citizen and resident of Barangay Del Carmen, I am writing to formally appeal for your office's immediate attention and action regarding the increasing number of motorcycles and vehicles in our area using improvised or modified mufflers that generate excessive noise, particularly during nighttime and early morning hours.

These modified exhaust systems not only violate the Clean Air Act and LTO regulations, but also cause serious disturbance to public peace, especially for senior citizens, children, and students. This situation has led to sleep disruption, increased stress levels, and a general decline in the quality of life within our community.

Please, strictly implement existing laws prohibiting the use of open pipe or modified mufflers;

Impose appropriate penalties or issue warnings to violators;

Educate vehicle owners on the impact of noise pollution on public health.
