St. Michael's College of Iligan, Inc. - Basic Education Department hosted a symposium for senior high school students, highlighting the connection between public health education and spiritual reflection. Guest speakers 𝐌𝐫. 𝐄𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐍𝐢𝐝 𝐒. 𝐀𝐛𝐮𝐞𝐦𝐞, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐍, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫. 𝐙𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐉𝐫. discussed HIV not only as a medical condition but also as a social and ethical concern that calls for compassion, education, and spiritual response. The speakers also emphasized the need for faith, ethics, and wellness in confronting stigma, fostering empathy, and promoting awareness.

𝗠𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼: 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗮, 𝗞𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮, 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮 𝗦𝗠𝗖𝗜𝗜 🎊

𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, sama-samang nagdiwang ang mga Michaelites sa culminating program ng 𝐁𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚 na naghatid ng kulay at sigla sa buong paaralan. Tampok sa pagdiriwang ang masayang salo-salo, makukulay na parada ng kasuotan, malikhaing presentasyon mula sa mga mag-aaral ng Grade School, at ang masiglang musikantahan ng Junior at Senior High School.

Sa paggabay ng temang “𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚: 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚,” higit na binigyang-diin ang kahalagahan ng pagpapayabong ng pambansang wika at mga katutubong wika bilang susi sa pagkakaisa at pagkakakilanlan ng sambayanang Pilipino. Pinatibay pa ito ng masiglang suporta ng Samahang Filipino ng SHS at JHS na naging katuwang sa matagumpay na programa.

Tinapos ang pagdiriwang sa parangal sa mga nagwagi ng iba’t ibang paligsahan sa buong buwan ng selebrasyon. Muling ipinapaalala nito na ang Wikang Filipino ay hindi lamang wika ng ating nakaraan kundi wika rin ng ating pagkakaisa, kultura, at dangal bilang isang bayan.

42 taon matapos ang pagpaslang kay 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨 “𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲” 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐉𝐫., patuloy pa rin nating pinararangalan ang kanyang sakripisyo para sa sambayanang Pilipino. Siya ay isang estadistang buong tapang na lumaban sa diktadurang Marcos at nagbukas ng landas tungo sa kalayaang hanggang ngayon ay ating pinahahalagahan.

Ngayong 𝐢𝐤𝐚-𝟐𝟏 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨, sa bisa ng Republic Act 9256, ating ginugunita ang 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲 hindi lamang upang alalahanin ang kanyang pagkamatay, kundi upang ipagdiwang ang kanyang di-matinag na dedikasyon at pagmamahal sa Pilipinas.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon ang araw na ito upang patuloy tayong lumaban laban sa pang-aapi, harapin ang kawalang-katarungan at ipagtanggol ang demokrasya na nararapat sa sambayanang Pilipino.

Ngayon na ang panahon ng review all night kaya kapit sa kape, sabayan ng playlist na pangpukaw ng brain cells, at syempre, huwag kalimutang magdasal. 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐨 𝐩𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚’𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐠, 𝐭𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐠𝐚, 𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 “𝐛𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐧𝐚 𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝.” 🙏🏻

DEL CARMEN — The spirit of service and faith shone brightly as 26 adopted families from 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐃𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧 celebrated the 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
