URGENT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
Please be advised that there will be a TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE starting TODAY at 12:00 PM, January 13, 2026, for event preparations, until 12:00 midnight and/or until event concludes on January 16, 2026, affecting the following road portions and traffic movements:

January 13 (Preparation Day) and January 14–15 (Motor Drag Race Days)
Effective 12:00 PM onwards, the following road portions will be affected:
• Portion of Pajares Avenue, San Jose District
(from La Pergola Cafe intersection up to Sabate Street intersection, particularly near Trinity Drugstore)
• Portion of Pajares Avenue starting at Blackscoop Cafe (both lanes)
(from Sabate Street intersection up to Rotunda intersection)

January 16, 2026 (Friday) – Car Drag Race Day
On this day, expanded road closures will be implemented:
• Both lanes of Pajares Avenue, San Jose District
(from La Pergola Cafe intersection up to Sabate Street intersection, particularly near Trinity Drugstore)
• Both lanes of Sabate Street
(from City Engineer’s Office intersection up to Bonifacio Extension Street)
• Vehicles passing Rotunda going to the Integrated Bus Terminal

•Vehicles passing Rotunda going to Zamboanga City
➡️ RIGHT TURN ONLY — NO LEFT TURN

Event Schedule Overview
Day 1 – January 13
• Race track preparation starts at 6:00 PM
Day 2 & 3 – January 14 & 15
• Motor Drag Race utilizing one (1) lane as the designated race track
Day 4 – January 16
• Car Drag Race utilizing two (2) lanes as the designated race track
January 16 (After Event Conclusion)
• Lifting of Temporary Road Closure
Traffic enforcers will be deployed and on duty throughout the duration of the event to manage traffic flow and guide motorists along affected routes and designated detours. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions of traffic personnel to ensure safety and smooth vehicular movement.

These road closures are in line with the PASALAMAT FESTIVAL 2026 Invitational Car & Motor Drag Race. Roads will be reopened immediately after the event concludes.
We humbly ask for the cooperation and understanding of the public, as these measures are necessary to ensure the success and safety of the Pasalamat Festival 2026 Celebration.
