SURVIVAL HACK! 🔥
Brownout! 😱 No candles left at home? No need to panic! Here’s an easy DIY on how to make “ Gasera “ using only 5 simple materials you can find at home.
What you need :
👉🏻 jar ( garapa, mangkok or baso basta hinde plastic )
👉🏻 oil ( used or new keri lang)
👉🏻 grains ( bigas, asin or sand )
👉🏻 match stick ( palito )
👉🏻 cotton ( bulak or gapas )
To make:
1️⃣ Put grains in your old jar or baso. (Wag plastic or flammable material ha)
In this photo, we used old uncooked rice (paubos na din kasi yung rock salt namin kaya yung may bokbok na bigas na lang ginamit), BUT you can also use SALT, beans, sand or stones basta able mahold ung wick in place.
2️⃣ Pour your oil into the jar with grains.
We use old cooking oil para di sayang kung new oil gagamitin. Mejo maitim lang yung usok nya when lit, sa smell di naman nangamoy fried chicken so ok lang.😅
3️⃣ For the wick - use match stick or measure & cut any stick available according to your jar.
Mas maganda pag magtira kayo ng 1” from sa top ng jar para di hanginin ung apoy ng lamp nyo.
4️⃣ Then cover the end of the stick with cotton.
Make sure na nabalot ng bulak yung end ng palito or stick para maganda din yung apoy. You can also use cotton buds in wooden sticks.
5️⃣ Place the wick you made into the center of the jar and lit. Yan! May reusable lamp ka na.🤗
TIP : Lagyan ng onting oil din ung wick para mas madali sumindi.
You’ll notice eventually na kokonti yung oil, rerefill nyo lang then its good na uli. After use, let it cool. Simply cover your lamp and reuse it when needed. ✨
Kung maharlika ka, you can also use other oil like coconut oil, olive oil and such. And add couple of drops ng favorite mong essential oils para nakakarelax na din habang binabayo tayo ni Ate Odette, jk!
REMINDER : Place your Gasera in a safe spot, wag shungabels baka magka-fire to the rain by Adele pa kayo. 😬
But seriously, KEEP SAFE. And if you can, lend a hand to others to keep them safe too. 🙏🏻
