On June 5, the Mindanao leg of the Quantum Hackathon 2025 kicked off at MSU-IIT, igniting minds in celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. In partnership with QCSP and DOST-ASTI, the event challenged students to innovate at the edge where quantum mechanics meets blockchain.

𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

MSU-IIT hosted the Mindanao leg of the Quantum Computing and Blockchain Hackathon 2025 in celebration of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, in partnership with the Quantum Computing Society of the Philippines (QCSP). The event empowered students to develop innovative solutions using quantum computing and blockchain technologies, with keynotes and support from QCSP and DOST Advanced Science and Technology Institute. ⚛️🔗

Outstanding performances were delivered by MSU-IIT’s participants during the competition. The following teams emerged as top winners:

We also recognize the exceptional efforts of Team VyQuest and Team ALJUKRINE, who presented highly creative solutions and demonstrated strong collaboration throughout the hackathon.

𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Students from across Iligan gathered at the CCS Conference Room for QUBIES: Intro-to-Quantum Training Lecture, conducted during the morning of June 5, in partnership with the Quantum Computing Society of the Philippines (QCSP).

Led by Mr. Julius Andre I. Evangelio of QCSP, the session broke down quantum concepts like superposition and entanglement, making the future of quantum computing exciting and accessible for all. ⚛️✨

Participants came from Iligan City National High School, La Salle Academy, MSU-IIT Integrated Developmental School, MSU-IIT, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Academy (OLPHA), Abuno National High School, Iligan City East National High School, Iligan Computer College (ICC), and Saint Michael's College (SMC). Students left the session inspired to dive deeper into this cutting-edge field. 🚀
