BRGY. SINGALAT, CALAMBA || Feeding & Outreach Activity by the Capayas Youth Community [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS] 💙
Some journeys are not just about reaching a destination—they become stories worth sharing.
Today, I had the opportunity to witness and cover the Feeding and Outreach Activity of the Capayas Youth Community in Barangay Singalat, Calamba, Misamis Occidental. Tucked away in the mountains of Mt. Malindang, reaching the barangay required almost two hours of hiking, crossing trails and steep paths. Kapoy? Yes. But every step was absolutely worth it.
Halos matag tawo nga among masugatan, maski mga bata, moingon og, “Maayong buntag Sir/Ma’am” o “Good morning Sir/Ma'am.” Simple nga mga pulong, pero dakong butang nga makapahinumdom nga ang tinuod nga bahandi sa usa ka komunidad naa sa iyang katawhan.
More than a feeding and outreach activity, this was a reminder that kindness, compassion, and unity can reach even the most remote communities. Seeing the smiles of the children and the appreciation from the residents made the journey even more meaningful.
Daghang salamat sa Capayas Youth Community for this inspiring initiative, headed by Sir Ryan Duyogan together with his dedicated team. Your passion for serving others and bringing hope to communities like Barangay Singalat is truly commendable. Padayon sa paghatag og inspirasyon ug serbisyo sa katawhan.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the organization for inviting me to be part of this meaningful activity. It was truly an honor to witness, document, and share these moments of kindness and community spirit. Thank you for the trust and for allowing me to experience firsthand the beauty of service and volunteerism.
To the people of Singalat, thank you for the warm welcome and for showing us that even in the farthest places, there are hearts that make you feel at home.
Indeed, the hike was challenging, but the view, the experience, and most especially the people made it all worth it.
