PSA: Due to the sudden influx of inquiries from alumni regarding the status of their yearbooks, we would like to inform everyone that we are only handling the creation and publication of SPIRE 2023.

With regards to the printing of Batch 2023 before the previous batches, the university printing press informed us that they will only print content that has been provided to them. In light with this, we highly encourage our seniors to inquire the school's administration on who the assigned staff, particularly the Editor(s)-in-Chief, of your batch was in order to gather more timely and accurate information.

This is crucial to formally authorized the SPIRE Editorial Board and the WVSU Printing Press for publishing of copies containing the relevant information of the respective programs.

WVSU-SPIRE 2023 takes immense pride in presenting our batch's yearbook, which encapsulates the remarkable theme: 'Celestials: The Class That Overcame,' inviting you to embark on a journey of inspiration and triumph. ✨

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the students, faculty, and staff of WVSU for their instrumental role in the creation process. Your assistance has helped us ensure the smooth delivery of the yearbook!

ABOUT THE COVER:

'CELESTIALS: THE CLASS THAT OVERCAME' testifies to the perseverance and determination of the students of batch 2023. The theme emphasizes the hard work, determination, and grit the students have shown in overcoming obstacles and achieving their goals. The celestial imagery in the title and the cover suggests reaching for the stars, rising above adversity, and achieving greatness. 🌟

The Carina constellation at the center of the cover represents the ship 'Argo,' as depicted in ancient myths. It was used by the Greek hero Jason as he ventured to recover the golden fleece and sail to victory. Similarly, each star on the line symbolizes the different colleges that have served as guides to the students, helping them 'reach the stars' and achieve their full potential. The back cover also features the Urn, symbolizing WVSU's history, along with the majesty, strength, and prestige associated with being a Taga-West. ⭐

📢 Attention graduating students! We are pleased to inform you that the distribution of your graduation pictures is scheduled as follows:

🗓 Date: Friday, June 30, 2023 (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM) at WVSU Mini Forest
📤Please be guided by the following:

1. Only class chairpersons/representatives will claim the pictures (Portraits and Diploma Receiving Pictures) of their classmates.

2. All Printed Pictures will be distributed on Friday ( June 30, 2023) from 1:00PM-3:00PM only

3. The venue for the distribution will be a Mini Forest

4. Look for the USCC officer from your college to claim the pictures.

5. Graduate School /ILS Pictures will be turned over to the Graduate School Office of their College and ILS Office.

6. Each chair/rep will sign an acknowledgment receipt that states that they were able to claim complete pictures.

7. The class chairperson will be responsible for distributing all the photos to their classmates.

📣 Attention graduating students from University Distance Education (UDE) and graduate schools! 🎓

For those who had their graduation pictorial photos taken outside of the university's prescribed studio, the deadline for the submission of your graduation photos has been extended until June 5, 2023. However, please note that after this date, we will no longer accept any submissions.

To ensure that your photo is included in the graduation collection, please follow these steps:

📸 Email your high-definition (HD) photo to [email protected].
📧 Use the subject line [College-Degree Fullname] in your email to properly acknowledge by the USCC.

Re: Changes in Graduation Rehearsals and Orientation schedule

The USCC has announced that the schedule of orientation and rehearsals for CON, CICT, CAS, and COP has been moved to May 25, 2023. However, the orientation and rehearsals for COE, CBM, and COC will proceed as scheduled on May 26.

Venue: NAB Function Hall

Take note that attendance will begin 30 minutes before the scheduled orientation, so please be on time.
