The parish was established sometime in 1862.

𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 | Devotees, parishioners, and clergy gathered at the Santa Monica Parish in Pavia on August 27, 2026, to celebrate the solemn Feast Day of Saint Monica.

The Eucharistic celebration was led by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐬 𝐌. 𝐌𝐞𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬, 𝐎𝐒𝐀, who served as the main celebrant and homilist, alongside numerous concelebrating priests from the Archdiocese of Jaro who joined in honoring the parish's beloved patroness. Following the first Holy Mass, a procession took place through the streets of Pavia. Despite the downpour, faith remained unyielding as parishioners marched together in deep prayer and devotion, undeterred by the rain.

The day served as a beautiful testament to the words of Saint Monica herself: "Nothing is far from God." Through rain and reverence, the community exemplified that no distance or weather can separate a faithful heart from divine grace.

FEAST DAY OF STA. MONICA

With hearts filled with joy and gratitude, the Community of Sta. Monica, Pavia Parish warmly invites everyone to join us in the solemn celebration of the Feast of Sta. Monica this August 27, 2026.

This special occasion is a time for the faithful to come together as one community, give thanks for God’s blessings, and seek the continued intercession of our beloved Sta. Monica, a model of unwavering faith and persevering prayer.

6:00 AM – First Mass
7:00 AM – Procession
9:00 AM – Concelebrated Holy Mass

The Concelebrated Holy Mass at 9:00 AM will be led by our Main Celebrant and Homilist, REV. FR. JONAS M. MEJARES, OSA, together with the concelebrating clergy.

Let us gather in faith, prayer, and thanksgiving as we celebrate our beloved patroness. May Sta. Monica continue to inspire us to trust in God, persevere in prayer, and never lose hope.
