Ingredients:
For the Steak:
2 ribeye steaks (10–12 oz / 280–340 g each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, smashed
2 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary
For the Garlic Shrimp:
8 oz (225 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Noodles:
8 oz (225 g) spaghetti, lo mein noodles, or egg noodles
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup broccoli florets
½ cup sliced carrots
½ cup sliced onions
2 green onions, sliced
Teriyaki Sauce
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
Cook the spaghetti, lo mein noodles, or egg noodles according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, honey, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
Pat the ribeye steaks dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
Heat a grill or cast-iron grill pan over high heat until very hot. Grill the steaks for 3–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, turning only once to develop deep grill marks. During the final minute, add the butter, garlic, and thyme, then baste the steaks. Transfer to a plate and let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove from the skillet.
Heat the vegetable oil and sesame oil in a wok or large skillet. Add the garlic, onions, broccoli, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
Add the cooked pasta to the vegetables. Pour in the teriyaki sauce and toss until evenly coated. Fold in the cooked shrimp and garnish with sliced green onions.
Arrange the teriyaki noodles with shrimp on one side of the plate and the sliced grilled ribeye steak on the other. Serve immediately while hot.
