Tried Something Ñu this week 🥰

Ñuwave Coffee in Banana ride is a trip to your taste buds that you shouldn’t miss.
I find their café cozy accommodating from their stuff to their sofa with a wide table that is conducive for studying or working.

I even got a chance to work there last week and I must say it’s a wfh girly approved café. They have free wifi and available sockets with ₱25/hr fee.

They have available parking spaces and also commute-friendly location since it’s just in the streets of Jaro.

I could have stayed longer but I was mindful of the time since I only ordered coffee and the place was filling up. I wish there were more savory options, too. Nonetheless, it was a good coffee experience and it only proves that the cafe gaming in Iloilo is getting stronger.

It is guaranteed that I will be visiting next time. 💯

Amore Coffee 🐾☕️

If you are looking for some peace and quiet while sipping your choice of coffee, you must visit Amore Coffee.

Nestled along the main avenue of Westwoods Subdivision is this coffee shop perfect for an afternoon coffee run.🏃‍♀️🏃☕️

I find the overall vibe of the cafe to be welcoming and cozy ++ plus points for the staff who are very friendly and accommodating as well. 😊

They offer coffee and non-coffee beverages and also serve freshly baked breads and pastries. They have a wide portfolio of coffee choices and signature drinks (I easily get overwhelmed looking at a lot of choices✌️) so I just ordered my staple which is the Iced Matcha Latté and they nailed it! 💯

🚗 Free parking spaces
🔌 Power Outlets
🐾 Pet-Friendly
🚌 Commute-Friendly (Ride Ungka Highway Diversion Rd) They also have pedicabs or you can just walk since it’s not that far from the entrance

Small Town Brew Cafe built a community of coffee enjoyers in this small town of Cabatuan - an end of an era⌛️

Prior to this cafe, I never really understood the media cliché that are coffee shops as a hangout place. Not until, there was one who suddenly popped up just across our high school alma mater.
These walls have heard the sound of the students’ keyboards as they their last requirement, the quiet mumbles of those memorizing pointers for their upcoming big exams, the laughters and chitchats from long time friends who haven’t had the opportunity to catch up, and for the lucky ones, brooding romance maybe.

(you can skip reading this part lol)
For me, this was THE place to meet with my best friends, as I bring my laptop and leave it to standby when they arrive I remember going home with my social battery drained but happier. I have developed an emotional attachment to this café as a person with a hard time dealing with sudden changes (as per my last therapy sesh).
You do not forget your first, your first cafe order (Hazelnut Coffee and Chicken Pesto Sandwich when this place was still al fresco), or your first breakup, but it was nothing an iced coffee couldn’t fix 🤣 especially when my friends had them delivered to me. But life goes on and so I finished college and this café was generous enough to help me when I asked for sponsorship for our event which was a main requirement. And so I bagged my first big girl job and I returned here with my personal computer and was glad to spend some of my first salary to treat my friends. And as I go on with life, I felt like this cafe was growing with me, too. They had the place air-conditioned with WiFi and their menu widened as well, I felt proud like as if I have any part of making this café, but sure did this place felt like ours. With all the memories spent here, the legacy lives on.
(end of personal drama dumping 🤣)

As much as it saddens me that there wouldn’t be a ‘See you at STB’ msg from my friends anymore, I still wish you all the best. It was such a wonderful run, small town brew cafe. Thank you for pouring coffee and your hearts out through your drinks and for bringing people closer in your café.🍵 💕

After trying a lot of different pizza brands in my life, nothing beats the nostalgia of the first pizza you have ever tried. The ones that you can buy in a local family owned restaurant in your town.

The smell of Janken’s pizza along with their Sotanghon Guisado already brings me so much memories of elementary school, where we can only eat it if there’s birthdays, recognition day at school, post contest celebrations or a merienda after going to church. In high school, I could only afford to share it with my friends where we had to amot for a slice when we hang out after a long day of practice or making group projects.

Time goes by so fast, and as a working young adult, I am glad how I can afford to buy what used to be a celebratory treat for a job well done at school, and now just an ‘I am too lazy to make snacks from scratch so I’ll just order’ meal.

It does really pay off at the end.

By the way, if this post also made you crave for some Janken’s Pizza in Cabatuan, just in case you want to order and just pick it up from their store, you may reach them through:

A shout out to Cabatuan Café Lovers — There’s a new coffee shop in town to visit!

Welcome to Frankiee: Iloilo Late Night Café
📍2nd Floor, M&M Building, Bacan, Cabatuan, Iloilo
🕐 Mon-Fri: 4pm-12mn
🕑 Sat-Sun: 7am-12mn

Nothing thrills a provincial girl than a new coffee shop near me. Just along the road of Brgy. Bacan, nestles Frankiees. Serving a variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks and snacks such as pastries, burgers, takoyaki, fries and etc. (Check photos for menu prices). For now, they only accept cash for payments.

Since it is in its soft opening period, I paid a visit to try their drinks and yes of course I ordered Matcha but I wanted something with a twist so I ordered Matcha Mango non-coffee drink. I really appreciate that they took note of my review about the drink and adjusted it according to my taste. They are pretty accommodating as well 💯

In terms of accessibility, there are plenty of parking areas as well, and for commuters the building is just along the road so you can just ride a tricyle to Barangay Bacan from Cabatuan town proper.

Frankiee’s has a comforting airconditioned interior and an al fresco area, best for relaxing and catching up with friends as well as working on those deadlines 😴.

And yes, one of the best things about it is it’s open until midnight🕛. So bring your friends and laptops with you and sip your choice of beverage and see you there!

Balai Ilonggo: a home of Ilonggo native products and delicacies 🏠🛍️🥭

It’s Dinagyang Weekend and you know you can’t come home without bringing pasalubong to your loved ones, friends, colleagues and etc.

Make that extra baggage worth it by dropping by at Balai Ilonggo, where they showcase native products from MSMEs around Region VI, located at the Garden Atrium, Festive Walk Mall.

Displayed are wide selection of delicacies and products. Ranging from snacks using Mangoes of Guimaras, Handwoven products like Hablon from Miagao and Oton, Iloilo, wooden collectibles, displayed artworks from Ilonggo artists, (e.g. paintings, wearable art like earrings, bags, hats, jewelry) and a lot more (See photos for reference).

It’s a festival to remember so pay a visit, buy your choice of products as a memoir and support local! See you there!

I happened to stumble upon a feature of Munk’s Coffee Shop and Restaurant through a post from my College professor, and I presumed it’s worth a visit so I dropped by the resto last year.

I was overwhelmed with their food choices as well as their drinks. I live by the province so it’s really a treasure hunt to find some quality restaurant with unique offerings.

So far, I have tried their
🍔 Munk’s Bbq Burger (served with fries and sauce)
🥩 Danish Burger Steak (served with boiled potatoes, egg, and lettuce)
🌶️ Natchos Natural (w, cheese, jalapeno, yogurt and salsa)
🌭 Danish Hotdog w/ Angus Beef Sausage
🌭 Danish Oyster Mushroom Hotdog w/ Angus Beef Sausage
🥗 Munk’s Warm Tomato Salad w/ Sriracha, Honey & Homemade Goat Chees Cream served with Herbs and Crispy Bread

They also offer you the privilege of trying their spicy sauces to pair with your orders, I have bought 3 bottles so far, the Smoky Bbq, their famous Danish Dynamite, and Hot Sriracha.
Next on my list: The Mango Habanero. This is a good gift idea to your loved ones. Their sauces are also available to order via Shopee.

They also offer a lot of hot and cold beverages ranging from ₱30-₱130. Choices include: Coffee, Beers, Sodas, Frappes, Smoothies, Teas, and Shakes. Also, they offer homemade breads (e.g. Focaccia bread, Danish Rye, Loaf of Bread)

I also learned through their Menu that the owners, Lynette and Peter, worked as chefs in Denmark and Japan. And the name Munk, was derived from Peter’s middle name, he also was involved in cooking for the Royal Family in Denmark.

I am a picky eater so I try my best to order what I know I could finish, but so far, I love their offerings as it is new to my palate and it makes me look forward for my next visits. They also offer deliveries, not just in Sta. Barbara but in neighboring towns also.

Go visit their socials for orders and more information:
