“150cc ang engine mo sa rehistro, pero pinalitan mo ng 200cc na block?”

Marami ang nag-aakalang okay lang basta’t pareho pa rin ang engine number — pero mali po ito.

Kahit hindi nagbago ang engine number, kung nadagdagan ang displacement (hal. 150cc naging 200cc), ito ay itinuturing na engine modification o unregistered engine sa ilalim ng LTO Administrative Order AHS-2008-015 at RA 4136 (Land Transportation and Traffic Code).

Bakit pasok sa “Unregistered Engine”?

Ayon sa RA 4136 Sec. 5 at 16,

> “No motor vehicle shall be operated on any public highway unless properly registered, including its engine and specifications.”

Kaya kapag ang nasa CR mo ay 150cc pero ang aktwal ay 200cc, hindi na tugma ang rehistro sa makina
— sa mata ng batas, ibang engine na iyon at hindi na rehistrado sa tamang detalye.

Posibleng Violation o Parusa:

- Unauthorized modification / unregistered engine

- Impound ng motorsiklo

- Multa o kansela ng rehistro

Tamang Proseso kung gusto mong gawing legal:

1. Magpa-inspect sa LTO Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (MVIC)

2. Mag-file ng Change in Engine Displacement

3. Magpa-notaryo ng Affidavit of Change/Modification

4. I-update ang Certificate of Registration (CR) at Official Receipt (OR)
