In relation to its 90th foundation celebration, Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus, Inc. launches a tree planting activity with the theme “Growing Trees, Growing Hope" last March 7, 2026 at the St. Candida Farm, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras. With the aim of promoting environmental preservation, many students, teachers, parents, and alumni participated.

This event is a response to the call of the Catholic Church to care for our common home as expressed in the Laudato Si by Pope Francis. It is the school's way of enfleshing its mission of moulding responsible stewards of God’s creations.

𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗥𝗦. Showcasing their entrepreneurial skills, the Grade 12 students put up booths around the school grounds on March 5, 2026. Fresh drinks, delectable treats, fun toys, and stylish clothes filled the area with buzzing excitement. Aside from serving as a Performance Task for their Entrepreneurship subject, the event also served as an avenue for the students to showcase their knowledge in business.

Each booth reflected the students’ creativity, effort, and business ideas, making the event both lively and meaningful.

As part of its 90th Foundation Anniversary celebration, Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus Inc. proudly launches its Tree Planting Activity with the theme “Growing Trees, Growing Hope.”

On March 7, 2026, at Candida Farm Sitio Capitongan, Jordan Guimaras, the school community will come together in gratitude and action—planting trees as a meaningful expression of care for God’s creation.

Rooted in faith with Saint Candida Maria de Jesus, and guided by love for our common home, we celebrate 90 years of cultivating excellence, and nurturing minds and hearts by growing trees today for a greener, hope-filled tomorrow.

If you are interested in joining, a minimal fee of Php400 will be charged to cover the expenses for the seedlings and transportation. Payment will be directed to the school Treasurer's Office on or before March 6, 2026. Please wear any CHJ t-shirt if you have for identification.

The entire educative community of Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus, Inc. is jubilant as it celebrates Family Day on Sunday, February 22, 2026. This occasion paved the way for the celebration of its near a century milestone; the grand 90th Founding Anniversary on June 7, 2026.

With the theme "90 Years of Filiation, Fraternity, and Service with St. Candida,” the school campus was transformed into a wave of denim as students, parents, faculty and staff, and alumni engaged in various meaningful and colourful activities. These are the marks of decades of its educational and spiritual legacies.

The event commenced with “Breakfast sa Hijas,” in which a community breakfast was held at the quadrangle that allowed early arrivals to gather and share a meal before the morning program. At 8:30 a.m., the Eucharistic Celebration was held at the CHJ gymnasium. During the mass, the value of family and camaraderie were emphasized.

An opening program followed thereafter, which featured the welcome messages by Mrs. Arnalyn G. Piccio, the PTA President, and Mrs. Edna G. Giner, the school principal. Also included are the video presentations showcasing various family pictures and greetings from the students.

The highlight of the program was the special number of St. Joseph- Hijas de Jesus Drum and Lyre from St. Joseph School, one of CHJ’s sister schools located in Jordan, Guimaras. Their performance had drawn attention from the audience. The program ended with the Zumbayanan, a community dance by the students and faculty and staff. This showcased their talent and appreciation for the gift of families they have.

The focus shifted to lunch time when families shared meals within the campus while playing rounds of Bingo game up to their heart's delight.

After lunch, the gymnasium opened for the different student performances. A welcome message was delivered by Sister Nilda G. Genovate, F.I. the school RCA. The most anticipated production with the theme, "Showtime in Denim- Movie Soundtrack Magic" kicked off with Mamma Mia soundtrack as the first number performed by some selected students. Every move, every groove, and every smile that the students do while performing made their parents and guardians proud and joyful.

Several contests and parlor games followed, such as the The Lutong Bahay, Play with Clay, Flower Arrangement, Kulayan Ang Pamilya Ko, Poster Making. In addition, Ka-Look Alike Ko and Wackiest Photo. Raffle draws, parlor, and Bingo games were also held.

The Family Rhythm followed, which featured the PRISAAYAWAN dancers and performances of students endowed with musical talents through singing and playing instruments.

The Family Day celebration and the evening ended with a disco.

The 1986 People Power was a bloodless revolution waged by the Filipinos to regain freedom and restore democracy. This historic moment reinforced the belief that democracy thrives when people are willing to protect it and that national transformation is possible when citizens act with integrity and shared purpose.

People Power remains both an inspiration and a responsibility. In an era shaped by digital media, global influences, and evolving political landscapes, its legacy challenges young Filipinos to remain vigilant, informed, and actively engaged in civic life.

As we commemorate its 40th anniversary, may the spirit of the EDSA Revolution call today’s generation to uphold truth, defend democratic institutions, and continue building a Philippines grounded in freedom and accountability.

Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus, Inc. as an academic institution continues to form its students to become persons of integrity and social responsibility at all times.

Love fills the air as we celebrate the day of hearts. 💌 While we relish in heart-shaped gifts and flowers, let us not forget that love takes many forms and is expressed to our loved ones. 💖 They are our parents, family, friends, teachers, pets, etc., and above all, God. 🤗💕

To celebrate the power of literature, the annual Literary Festival of Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus, Inc. took place on January 28, 2026, at the school gymnasium.

With the theme, “The Power of Words- from page to people”, the celebration opened with a parade of characters wherein students from each grade level wore colorful and creative costumes from their designated mythology and literary characters.

Showcasing creativity and resilience, students performed varied presentations such as poem reading, musicals, role-playing, nursery rhymes, and many more.

Students’ literary prowess were also tested through a short trivia activity that challenged their knowledge about renowned literary works.

Moreover, the event also promoted the Share-a-Book program, which gathered donations of children's storybooks, and these will be given to chosen recipients.
