On August 7, 2026, CHJ celebrated its ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ญ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ต๐ฌ๐๐ต ๐๐๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ฒ๐ฒ with its beloved alumni, teachers, faculty and staff, guests, and students. Day 1 began with a ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ, followed by the ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ, which featured videos paying tribute to the alumni of 1976 and the generations that followed.
The celebration continued with a ๐บ๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ across the routes of La Paz, Molo, and Mandurriao, facilitated by participants and assigned teachers. Following the motorcade, the ๐ฅ๐๐ฏ๐, ๐ฆ๐ถ๐น๐๐ฒ๐ฟ, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ made their entrance alongside alumni from different batches, proudly wearing their respective batch years. Adding enthusiasm and energy to the celebration, performers from Maasin delivered a powerful presentation of their ๐ง๐๐น๐๐๐ด๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น, followed by a community dance led by the members of the Hijas Dance Club.
During lunchtime, guests enjoyed the various booths and food kiosks prepared by the alumni. Alongside their families and friends, alumni took a trip down the ๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ as they explored familiar halls and spaces, viewed photographs from different batches, and reconnected with familiar faces. In the afternoon, the ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ผ and games brought excitement to the celebration as students and guests enjoyed the activities and prizes, followed by the much-anticipated ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ณ๐น๐ฒ draw.
The highlight of the evening was the ๐๐๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, spearheaded by Mr. Beny Castillon. Singers from different alumni batches, together with talented students, took the stage to showcase their gifts and talents, reminding everyone that Hijas and Hijos continue to share their talents through Godโs grace. Despite a temporary blackout, the performers remained undeterred and continued to deliver an impactful performance for the audience. The celebration culminated in the moving performance of โ๐ช๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ,โ featuring the interpreters and Grade 12 students.
Day 1 concluded with a ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐ผ ๐ป๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐, as guests danced and celebrated to the music. Amid the lights, music, and laughter, smiles reflected the joy of a successful alumni homecoming.
As everyone went home, they carried cherished memories that became part of CHJโs 90-year story.
