Yhis book reminded me that life really does get better. Maybe not immediately, maybe not in the way we expect, and sometimes we have to be patient with ourselves while we’re figuring things out. But don’t give up on yourself too soon. There are still people you haven’t met, moments you haven’t experienced, and versions of your life you haven’t reached yet.

I wasn’t completely satisfied with the ending, but I think it was unsatisfying emotionally but satisfying logically. And somehow, I’m okay with that. It made sense, even if my heart wanted something else.

And then there are the what-ifs. 🥺 I think that’s one of the saddest aspects of this book. The possibilities, the timing, the things that could have been. Sometimes people can meet at exactly the wrong time, even when the connection is real. And I think that idea stayed with me long after I finished the book.

I have SO MANY TABS in this book, and honestly, that says a lot about how much I enjoyed it. 😂

🥂 The Loved One🥂

This is a story about grief, love, loss, and the different ways people try to cope after losing someone they love. It explores how grief can shape relationships and make people hold on to memories, objects, and the people left behind.

Grief comes in waves and in chapters. Sometimes it’s consuming you, or fading into the background, only to return unexpectedly.

The book felt so slow at times, with a lot of backstory that made the story drag.

I was also left speechless by some of the dynamics between the characters, especially the way Elizabeth treats Julia in certain moments. There were times when I couldn’t quite understand her behavior, although I think her own discomfort and complicated emotions may have played a part.

Julia’s journey also made me think about how differently people process grief. She goes to such great lengths to hold on to something connected to her past, and while I sometimes questioned her choices, I think that’s part of what makes grief so unpredictable.

Beautifully thoughtful and emotionally layered, but if you’re trying to cure a reading slump, this probably isn’t the book I’d pick up.

I really wanted to love this book, especially because I was genuinely invested in the story and the relationships between Jordan, Sam, and Yash. Whenever the story focused on them and their complicated connections, I was hooked. But in between those moments, I found myself getting bored.😭

I especially struggled with Chapter Two. There were so many things that felt vague and disconnected to me, and as a reader, I needed a clearer visualization of what was happening. I understand now that everything eventually comes together, but while I was reading, I often felt lost rather than intrigued.

I think a big part of my experience was that this was my first literary fiction read. I went in expecting something more straightforward and plot-driven, so I wasn’t used to the slower pacing, introspection, ambiguity, and character-focused storytelling. Maybe with more literary fiction under my belt, I’ll understand and appreciate this style better.

Still, I can’t deny that the story eventually got to me. I cried at the end, and that means something. 🥹 I think I’ll probably revisit this book someday with a different perspective.

I cried so hard reading this book.
This book is a beautiful reminder that no life is insignificant. We often believe we’re ordinary or that our existence doesn’t matter, but this story gently shows that every life touches another in ways we may never fully understand. Sometimes, without even realizing it, we become part of someone else’s story and change the course of their life.

This book made me reflect on the quiet impact we have on the people around us. Even when life feels mundane or meaningless, it doesn’t mean it lacks purpose. Every encounter, every choice, and every act of kindness can leave a mark that lasts far beyond what we can see.

☀️Just For The Summer☀️

The story follows Justin and Emma, two strangers who believe they’re both cursed in love. Every person they date finds their soulmate immediately after breaking up with them. Convinced their “curses” might cancel each other out, they agree to date for one summer and then part ways. But what begins as a lighthearted arrangement turns into something much deeper as they confront family trauma, unexpected responsibilities, and the possibility that love might be worth the risk after all.

What I loved most about this book was how Abby Jimenez portrayed LOVE. She reminds us that love isn’t always about grand gestures. It’s found in the quiet, everyday acts of showing up, sacrificing, and choosing each other. She also beautifully explores that sometimes love means letting go, giving someone the space to heal and find their own way.

Beyond the romance, I appreciate how she highlighted the importance of genuine friendships that offer support without judgment, and how thoughtfully she portrayed trauma as something that simply fades with time, but as something that deserves to be acknowledged, healed, and met with patience and compassion.

🔥Blood Over Bright Haven🔥

This year also introduced me to a new favorite genre: Blood Over Bright Haven, my very first academia dark magic read, and what an unforgettable introduction it was.

I expected a fantasy novel, but I found a story about ambition, injustice, sacrifice, and the courage to question the world you’ve always known. It was heavy, thought-provoking, and deeply emotional. More than once, I caught myself thinking, I don’t just understand this feeling.I am this feeling.

As a whole, it was not a light read, but it is a meaningful one. It challenges you to sit with discomfort, to question power, and to reflect on what it means to be complicit, brave, or simply trying to survive. It’s the kind of book that doesn’t just tell a story. it leaves an imprint.

such a fun and immersive experience, and watching the movie right after reading the book made it even better. Both the book and the film are solid five stars for me.

Even if it was just two books, I think this is my best reading month of 2026 so far because every single read was a five-star one 🥹

Quality over quantity, always. Hoping April brings more stories like these 🤍

One of the most beautifully written love stories I’ve ever read 💔🍋

I started bawling my eyes out on page 20, and it only got more heartbreaking from there.
I read this on the plane on my way to a pharmacy training conference, which made it feel even closer to me—and I finished it on my flight home.
The story feels so personal, not just because of its raw emotional depth, but because Salama, a pharmacy student, made it even more meaningful.

Timely, heart-wrenching, and deeply resilient. I truly think this is a book everyone should read at least once in their life. It opens your eyes to the realities of war, makes you reflect on your own privileges, and reminds you that their stories matter. And while the ending isn’t simply happy or sad, it leaves you with a quiet, lingering hope that stays with you.

To those living through it, you are seen.💛

First of all, this is my first sci-fi read, and I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much. As someone who’s familiar with science jargons, I found myself appreciating a lot of the scientific concepts in the book. It made the experience even more fun and immersive.

That said, I do think that if you’re not used to heavy science terms, the first few pages might feel a bit overwhelming or even boring. But honestly, if you just push through, it becomes so worth it. The humor kicks in early, and it really carries the story.

Speaking of humor🤣Dr. Grace is so funny. I don’t even know how Andy Weir does it, but the way Grace thinks and narrates everything is just effortlessly entertaining. His inner monologue and reactions feel so natural and witty.

And okay… Stratt? Yeah. She’s… a lot 😏

What surprised me most is that even without a strong female lead, this book still felt complete for me. It’s not lacking at all. Instead, it highlights friendship, trust, and connection in the most unexpected ways.

It also explores themes of sacrifice, survival, and what it really means to do something bigger than yourself. The plot is incredibly engaging, with twists that keep you hooked, and pacing that makes it hard to put down.

Also, I highly, highly recommend reading this while listening to the audiobook. It makes the experience so much more immersive. You really feel the story more deeply, and Dr. Grace becomes even funnier when you hear his voice and delivery. The audiobook is honestly super, super perfect and elevates the whole experience.

Overall, Project Hail Mary is funny, smart, emotional, and surprisingly heartwarming. I didn’t expect to love it this much but I really, really did.
