No Life Left Behind: Mission 2

The whole province went on red alert because of the flooding.

I saw a post from Hiraya Matcha & Coffee, one of our local go-to cafes here. They were planning to serve meals for the rescuers and the evacuees. I reached out and asked if we could help. I'm glad they said yes 🙏.

Together as a joint team, we were able to serve a total of 565 hot meals over 2 days (props to them for carrying it to the end).

When it gets that bad, most of us try to keep ourselves and our families safe first. But there are people who go out there and put others first.

It was also National Heroes Day. I couldn't think of a better day for it. We usually talk about heroes like they lived a long time ago, but they were also right here, soaked, tired, and still going. You're our modern-day heroes. We salute you, and God bless you! 🫡

Masarap maging blessing 💚.

My heart is full, I finally get to start doing the thing I've been praying for.

I've done a lot of similar things in the past, pero iba pala talaga when it's your own movement, you get to move faster, help more, do more.

Hindi ko din inexpect na magiging ganito. Initial plan was for me to do things alone (mag house to house, help 10 families), then it went to building a small group, then it led to this (50 families). Turns out, God had a much bigger plan all along 😅.

No Life Left Behind: Mission 1

It's been raining heavily for the last 3 weeks.
And when it rains like this, a lot of people here temporarily lose their livelihood.

I'm part of this local church, so I see these people regularly. They're not strangers to me. That's why I wanted to do something.

The goal is always to help as many lives as I can. And I believe that a goal like that starts with the people in front of you. So that's what I did.

Together with the church youth, we pulled off this operation. If it wasn't for them, this wouldn't have been possible. Really big thanks to them.

Not taking any credit for this. All glory and honor belongs to God.

Why is this so therapeutic 😫.

I found my accidental therapy: food prepping. 2 hours every week of cooking without pressure, then playing Tupperware Tetris until everything fits. Turns out that's all I needed to actually breathe.
