FUN FACT:
This blue New Era panel cap I’m wearing was given to me 3years ago here in Boracay by a Korean guy i became friends with.
We were drinking in a bar then, and me, as an enthusiast of caps, complimented the cap my korean friend was wearing by saying ‘I like your cap, you have a good taste in choosing’.
He then proceeded to take it off and handed it to me and said, ‘It’s your’s now’.
Ofcourse I tried to refuse because aside from noticing he was trying so hard to fix his hair and had nothing else as a replacement to cover up,
I also thought that he was just intoxicated enough for the sudden decision.
But he insisted.
I even bothered to ask him for the last time if he was sure about his decision.
And again, he was consistent.
So i gladly accepted.
A few days later, i learned from someone that in korean culture, it is considered an appropriate response for them to give away a belonging or material that was paid with compliments by a friend.
So fast forward today, I’m back in Boracay,
looking for a korean with an Iphone17 pro max to be my friend.
