TWO REGIONAL MOST WANTED PERSONS COLLARED IN SEPARATE PNP OPERATIONS

The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested two regional most wanted persons in separate operations in Davao del Sur and Leyte on August 19, 2026, as police units continued focused efforts to locate individuals with outstanding warrants and facilitate the proper course of cases before the courts.

In Davao del Sur, police arrested a legal-age Filipino male in Barangay Kimlawis, Kiblawan, who was ranked No. 2 in the regional wanted persons list. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant for Murder issued in connection with a 2011 criminal case, with no bail recommended. He is currently under police custody for proper disposition.

In Palompon, Leyte, authorities arrested another legal-age Filipino male who was ranked No. 1 in the regional wanted persons list. He was apprehended by virtue of warrants of arrest in connection with five counts of Qualified R**e of a Minor, with no bail recommended. He is likewise under police custody for appropriate legal proceedings.

The operations involved personnel from the concerned police stations, provincial mobile forces, intelligence units, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, reflecting sustained coordination in locating wanted persons and implementing court-issued warrants.

The arrests are part of the PNP’s continuing efforts under its Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) pillar of the PNP Focused Agenda, which emphasizes responsive and coordinated police action while respecting due process and the rights of all persons involved. These efforts support President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call for stronger peace and order measures and a safer environment for communities.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the police will continue to work closely with communities and other law enforcement units to ensure that warrants are served properly and that cases move through the justice system.

“Kapag may warrant, trabaho nating hanapin ang tao at iharap siya sa tamang proseso. Hindi ito tungkol sa paghusga—tungkol ito sa pagtiyak na gumagana ang batas at may pagkakataong umusad ang kaso sa korte,” PGen Nartatez said.

The PNP will sustain its focused operations against wanted persons while ensuring that every arrest is carried out within the bounds of law and established procedures, consistent with the “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman” commitment to provide responsive, accountable, and rights-respecting police service.

FOREIGN NATIONAL ARRESTED IN MANDALUYONG OVER TRAFFICKING-RELATED CASE

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested a foreign national wanted for an alleged violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, reinforcing its continuing efforts to locate individuals with standing warrants and bring them before the proper authorities.

Police arrested alias “Donald,” 44, a Canadian national, on Monday, August 17, 2026, along F. Martinez Street in Barangay Plainview, Mandaluyong City. The arrest was carried out by personnel of the Mandaluyong City Police Station’s Warrant and Subpoena Section by virtue of an Alias Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 213 of Mandaluyong City for violation of Section 4(e) of Republic Act No. 9208, or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.

Following the arrest, alias “Donald” underwent a medical examination before being turned over to the Mandaluyong City Police Station’s custodial facility for proper disposition and further legal proceedings.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the arrest demonstrates the PNP’s responsibility to enforce the law fairly and professionally, regardless of a person’s nationality.

“Whether Filipino or foreign national, kapag may valid warrant, we have a duty to enforce it properly. We will continue to do that with fairness, professionalism, and respect for due process,” PGen Nartatez said.

The operation is part of the PNP’s Enhanced Managing Police Operations under its Focused Agenda, supporting the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in strengthening public safety and the effective enforcement of the law.

WANTED PERSON IN TRAFFICKING, LARGE-SCALE ILLEGAL RECRUITMENT CASES ARRESTED IN NORTH COTABATO

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a wanted person facing human trafficking and large-scale illegal recruitment charges during an operation on August 17, 2026, in Magpet, North Cotabato.

The arrested individual is a 50-year-old male, a farmer and banana plantation caretaker and resident of the area. The PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group Mindanao Field Unit (PNP AKG-MFU) served the Warrant of Arrest issued on August 12, 2026, by the Presiding Judge of the Family Court, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 7, Zamboanga City.

The warrant carries no recommended bail for the Large-Scale Illegal Recruitment charges under Section 4(m) in relation to Section 6(a) of Republic Act No. 9208, as amended by Republic Act No. 11862, and Republic Act No. 8042, as amended by Republic Act No. 10022, while PhP200,000.00 bail was recommended for violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.

The arrest was carried out by the PNP AKG-MFU Cotabato Satellite Office in a joint operation with the Police Regional Office 12, Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking, Zamboanga Sea-Based Anti-Trafficking Task Force, Department of Migrant Workers, and Philippine Center on Transnational Crime Western Mindanao Field Office.

“This operation underscores our resolve to pursue individuals facing serious charges involving the exploitation of vulnerable persons. We will remain persistent in locating wanted individuals and ensuring that they are brought before the proper courts to answer for the cases filed against them,” said PGEN Nartatez.

The PNP Focused Agenda guides police transformation and strengthens operational response, with Enhanced Managing Police Operations supporting the pursuit of wanted persons involved in human trafficking and illegal recruitment.

“Hindi natin hahayaang samantalahin ang mga Pilipinong naghahanap ng disenteng trabaho. Ang mga sangkot sa illegal recruitment at human trafficking ay haharap sa kaukulang pananagutan,” he added.

The arrested individual remains under the custody of the PNP AKG-MFU pending the return of the Warrant of Arrest to the issuing court.

As the PNP strengthens its efforts to protect Filipinos from exploitation and pursue those facing trafficking and illegal recruitment charges under the directive of President Ferdinand R. PNP STATEMENT ON FI***RM RECOVERED FROM MINOR IN CEBU

The Philippine National Police (PNP) confirms the recovery of a fi***rm from a Grade 9 student in Pinamungajan, Cebu, on August 20, 2026.

According to the initial investigation, the fi***rm was discovered inside the student’s school bag during a school bag inspection, prompting the school administration to immediately coordinate with the police. The fi***rm was recovered without am******on and is now under police custody for proper safekeeping and disposition.

The fi***rm is allegedly owned by the minor’s grandfather. The PNP is still verifying the ownership and circumstances surrounding its possession. If established, appropriate accountability will be determined in accordance with existing laws.

In accordance with Republic Act No. 9344, or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act, the minor was turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for appropriate intervention. The child’s guardian and concerned barangay officials were likewise coordinated with.

The PNP appreciates the vigilance of the school personnel and their prompt coordination with authorities, which helped ensure that the matter was immediately addressed.

The PNP reminds parents, guardians, and fi***rm custodians to keep fi***rms properly secured and inaccessible to children and unauthorized persons. Schools and communities are likewise encouraged to promptly coordinate with authorities whenever safety concerns arise.

CYBERCOP BAGS TWO MEDALS IN THAILAND MUAY THAI SERIES

A Philippine National Police (PNP) officer is bringing home two medals after turning in a strong performance at an international Muay Thai competition in Thailand.

Police Corporal Jonard E. Apa-an of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group won a silver medal in the 51-kilogram Muay Thai Combat category and a bronze medal in the Wai Kru Singles event at the Siamyout Global Heritage Muay Thai Series 2026 held in Samut Songkhram, Thailand, from August 10 to 12.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. congratulated Apa-an for representing the PNP and the country on the international stage.

“Proud tayo sa kanya. He showed that the discipline we develop in the police service can also take us far in other fields. Two medals is already a good story to bring home,” PGen Nartatez said.

The PNP continues to support its personnel who excel in sports and other fields, recognizing that their achievements help build morale within the organization and bring pride to the country.

The accomplishment is likewise consistent with the administration of President Ferdinand R. Kinilala ang akusado sa alyas “Edmar,” 48 taong gulang, may asawa, laborer, residente ng Brgy. San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras, at pansamantalang naninirahan sa Brgy. Palanguia, Pototan, Iloilo.

Naaresto si alyas “Edmar” sa bisa ng warrant of arrest kaugnay ng anim na counts ng R**e sa ilalim ng Article 266-A, Paragraph 1(a) ng Revised Penal Code, na inamyendahan ng Republic Act No. 8353.

Ang warrant ay inisyu noong Hunyo 9, 2026, ng Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 65, Jordan, Guimaras. Walang inirekomendang piyansa para sa mga nasabing kaso.

Iloilo - Arestado ng Police Regional Office 6 ang isang High-Value Individual at nasamsam ang humigit-kumulang 150 gramo ng pinaghihinalaang shabu na may tinatayang Standard Drug Price na PhP 1,020,000.00 sa isinagawang buy-bust operation sa Brgy. Buyu-an, Tigbauan, Iloilo dakong 11:46 ng umaga noong Agosto 21, 2026.

Kinilala ang naarestong suspek sa alyas na “Jojo,” 48 taong gulang, walang trabaho, residente ng San Joaquin, Iloilo, at pansamantalang naninirahan sa Tigbauan, Iloilo.

Narekober sa operasyon ang apat na transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu, buy-bust money, at iba pang non-drug-related items.

Pinangunahan ang operasyon ng Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit ng Iloilo Police Provincial Office, katuwang ang PDEA 6, Tigbauan Municipal Police Station, and Provincial Intelligence Unit.

Pinuri ni Police Brigadier General Randulf T Tuaño, Regional Director of PRO6 ang mga operatiba at katuwang na ahensya sa matagumpay na operasyon.
