The West Visayas State University Research Journal began its journey with the release of Volume 1, Issue 1 in June 2012. Since then, it has been shaped by the leadership of only six Editors-in-Chief, each leaving a distinct and lasting impact on its direction, quality, and academic reputation.
๐ผ๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐๐๐ค ๐. ๐๐๐ฃ (2012โ2013) โ As the journalโs founding Editor-in-Chief, he oversaw its historic launch and the publication of its first two volumes, establishing the standards and framework for scholarly publishing at WVSU.
๐๐ก๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐. ๐ผ๐ง๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ค (2013โ2017)โ Strengthened editorial policies, broadened the scope of published research, and upheld consistency in quality across four years of continuous publication.

๐๐๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ซ๐๐ซ๐ ๐. ๐๐๐๐ช๐๐ง๐๐จ (2017โ2019) โ Introduced innovations in editorial management, optimized peer-review processes, and reinforced the journalโs commitment to rigorous academic standards.
๐ฝ๐ค๐๐๐ฎ ๐ฟ. ๐๐๐ง๐๐ง๐๐ค (2019-2020) โProvided firm leadership during a transitional phase, ensuring the seamless continuation of publication schedules and maintaining high-quality outputs.
๐๐ฎ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐. ๐๐๐ช๐๐๐๐ค (2021โ2024) โ Published his first issue in 2020 prior to his formal appointment as Editor-in-Chief in 2021. He steered the journal through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, successfully transitioning to digital platforms to maintain accessibility and readership.
๐ผ๐ง๐๐จ ๐พ. ๐๐๐ง๐ง๐ค๐๐๐ง (2024โ๐๐ง๐๐จ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ) โ Currently leading the journal into a new era of innovation, including the launch of its first-ever podcast edition in June 2025, further bridging academic research with broader audiences.
From print beginnings to digital expansion and now multimedia outreach, the WVSU Research Journal stands as a dynamic platform for scholarly exchangeโcontinuously adapting to the evolving needs of the academic community and the public it serves.
