Gintukod ang Tultugan festival sadtong Disyembre 1999. Naghalin ang ngalan nga Tultugan sa instrumento nga human sa kawayan nga ginausar sang mga tumandok sang banwa agod magpalab-ot sang mensahe sa isa kag isa, pagpaandam sa kumunidad kon nagapalapit ang ila mga kontra, pagtawag sang pagsinapol, pagsugod sang selebrasyon, kag iban pa nga importante nga pagtililipon.

Mayor nga katuyuan sang Tultugan festival nga hatagan sang importansya ang legasiya nga ini sang ila banwa. Nagaserbe man ini nga pahanumdom sa mga Maasinanon kon ano katahum ang ila ginahimo nga mga instrumento, pagpakita sang ila pag-amoma sa ila mga bisita, pagtuo, paghugpong, kag pag-ulikid sa ila kasimanwa nga simbolo man sang manggaranon nga kinaadman sang mga tawo sa Maasin.

Ginaselebrar sang Maasin ang Tultugan Festival tagsa ika-26 nga adlaw sang Disyembre.

Magahanda ang local government unit sang Maasin bilang pagselebrar sang kadalag-an ni Karen Nicole Piccio sa Miss Iloilo 2025.

Suno kay Mayor Francis Amboy, sa Lunes, magahiwat sila sang welcome party kag gamay nga programa para kay Karen Nicole bilang pagkilala sa gindala sini nga kadalag-an kag dungog sa banwa.

Pahayag niya, tuman ka dako ang kalipay sang bilog nga pumuluyo sang Maasin kag ginakabig nila nga dako nga bugal para sa banwa ang kadalag-an ni Karen Nicole.

Dugang pa ni Amboy, antes ang Miss Iloilo, nagpasakop na si Karen Nicole sa Miss Earth 2019 kun sa diin, ginkilala ini nga Miss Philippines Earth Eco-Tourism.
