Held last March 27, 2026, Reading is Vital Series 3 brought together children from Brgy. Fajardo, Iloilo City at the Iloilo City Public Library for a day of book reading and a hygiene-focused activity.

Storybooks created by the publication, titled โ€œLuna and the Bad Loboโ€ and โ€œEsang, the Brave,โ€ were presented by Virna Barsanalina and Yun Bayotas, respectively. To further enrich learning, the children participated in interactive game of identifying body organs. They were also given coloring materials, worksheets, and maze challenges as take-home activities to encourage continued creativity and problem-solving.

A handwashing activity under the hygiene drive was also conducted, teaching proper handwashing techniques using soap and water to promote basic health practices among children.

Launched in 2024, this marks the second season of the initiative, which aims to foster a love for reading while strengthening word skills and integrating health education.

Rabies remains a serious yet preventable public health concern in the Philippines, as animal bites, delayed wound care, and failure to seek timely vaccination continue to place lives at risk. Misconceptions regarding first aid and treatment may further contribute to avoidable deaths. The need for accurate information, responsible pet ownership, and prompt medical action remains essential.

In line with this commitment, Vital Signs launched Project MEDucate | Rabies: Bite Back with Knowledge on August 22, 2025, at WVSU La Paz Campus to raise awareness on rabies prevention, promote proper bite wound first aid, discuss the importance of post-exposure vaccination, and empower the community to respond quickly and responsibly after animal bites.

Mental health in the workplace remains an important public health concern, as stress, burnout, anxiety, and poor work-life balance continue to affect productivity, relationships, and overall well-being. Stigma and limited access to support may also prevent many individuals from seeking help. The need for open conversations, supportive environments, and mental wellness education remains essential.

In line with this commitment, Vital Signs launched Project MEDucate: Mental Health in the Workplace on August 22, 2025, at WVSU La Paz Campus to promote awareness on workplace mental health, discuss stress management strategies, encourage healthy coping mechanisms, and empower individuals to prioritize well-being in professional spaces.
