๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ | The Local Government Unit of Tubungan, headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Roquito G. Tacsagon and Vice Mayor Hon. Leo Cezar T. Taypen, and the rest of the Municipal Officials, proudly awarded two Certificates of Commendation to the Tubungan Municipal Police Station during the Flag Raising Ceremony held this morning at the municipal grounds.
The commendations were given under the leadership of PCPT Alberto V. Manguilimotan Jr., in recognition of two remarkable operations that have greatly contributed to the safety and security of Tubungan.
The first commendation highlighted the station's immediate and effective action in resolving a recent criminal case involving the r**e of an 18-year-old girl. The immediate response led to the prompt arrest of the suspect, which demonstrated not only operational excellence but also deep compassion and responsiveness to the call for justice. As part of the same operation, the police also apprehended a suspected illegal drug user in Barangay Ingay, showing their continued vigilance against criminal activities in the area.
The second commendation recognized the success of a buy-bust operation conducted on June 27, 2025, which resulted in the arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) and the confiscation of 135 grams of illegal drugs worth approximately โฑ918,000. This operation, also conducted in Brgy. Ingay was a significant blow against local drug networks and stood as a strong reinforcement of Tubunganโs Anti-Illegal Drugs Advocacy Campaign.
Both operations serve as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the Tubungan MPS in safeguarding the Tubunganon and advancing the goals of peace, order, and public safety.
Mayor Rokit emphasized that these commendations reflect the LGUโs continued trust and recognition of the local policeโs vital role in bringing peace to the community, and stand as proof that true public service is measured not just by duty, but by courage to act with the heart to protect.
