Fans of Just For Laughs: Gags can breathe a sigh of relief as the beloved silent comedy show returns to GMA Network’s late-night lineup after a short hiatus. The Canadian-produced prank show, known for its clever and lighthearted hidden camera antics, took a break from Philippine television on March 7.

However, viewers won’t have to wait long for more laughter, as the program is set to reclaim its spot on March 31, returning to its original timeslot at 11:30 PM, right after Saksi.

The show will take over the timeslot previously occupied by the K-Drama Agency, bringing a shift in late-night entertainment for GMA viewers. Having won over audiences worldwide with its universal humor, Just For Laughs: Gags remains a staple for those seeking a fun and stress-free way to end the day.

Viva One’s upcoming series Avenues of the Diamond, based on the popular Wattpad novel of the same name, is already facing controversy after its cast reveal yesterday. Fans expressed disappointment, particularly over the casting of Lance Carr as Clyden Ramirez, a character they had envisioned differently.

One user voiced their frustration, stating, "Sorry but I'll just stick to the books. This casting ruined my imagination for AOTD. Lance is so unsuitable as Clyden… I expected it to be Joseph Marco. Not this thing💀 Pero oh well. Viva One never fails to disappoint us."

Others echoed similar sentiments, with one comment reading, "A big downgrade for Viva for not choosing the characters right. Doc Cly is one of the MLs that caught the heart of many, and they will give us someone who didn’t fit our expectations."

However, some defended the creative team’s decision, arguing that adaptations should not be bound by fan expectations. One commenter pushed back, saying, "Not because you've read the story and imagined your own version of the characters does it entitle you to dictate who should portray them. The creative team made their decision based on their artistic vision, not yours."

This sparked further debate, with another user countering, "If they don't even know the basics of ‘knowing what your audience wants,’ then they're not qualified to do entertainment videos. Wattpad users are their main audience, and ruining our imagination means making this adaptation flop."
