Quick update, Filmmakers

There will be no Cycle 2 for 2026. Over the past months, we’ve been making a number of internal adjustments and taking a closer look at how we can keep Bipolaroid sustainable and consistent in the long run. Because of this, we’ve decided to pause for this cycle and give the team the time and space needed to properly recalibrate.

We know that many of you plan the financing of your projects around these cycles, and we don’t take that lightly. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one we felt was necessary to make sure that when we do support films, we can do so in a more stable and thoughtful way.

The good news is that we will be back for Cycle 3 this July, and submissions will open as scheduled. We’re looking forward to seeing what you’ve all been working on and continuing to support new stories and voices.

Cycle 1 of 2026 is officially open!
We’re happy to welcome you back to a new round of the Bipolaroid Film Fund.
The submission period will run for only 1 month,
from January 1 to January 31, 2026.
So if you’re planning to apply, make sure to get your materials in on time!
Selected recipients will be announced on February 1, 2026.

What do recipients get?
A financial production grant (10,000 PHP)!
Free equipment rentals through our partner Tulayan Film Rentals!

Cycle 4 of 2025 is officially open!
We’re happy to welcome you back to a new round of the Bipolaroid Film Fund.

For this cycle, the submission period will run for only 4 weeks
from October 1 to October 31, 2025.

Hello there, Filmmakers! 🎬❤️

We’re very happy to finally announce the recipients of Cycle 3 of 2023!

The two projects we’ll be supporting this cycle are:

“Migratory” by Jericho Jeriel
“Ang Lumalaking Buwan” by Lysa Catolico

As always, choosing the recipients was a very difficult process, we’re grateful for the passion, creativity, and heart that all of you poured into your submissions.

For those who weren’t selected this cycle, please know that we would have loved to support more if we could. We encourage you to submit again in the next round. And here’s something important: We know how tough it can be to get a film off the ground, so we want to make sure that every team who put in the effort to apply still gets concrete support to move their projects forward.

Once again, you overwhelmed us with your fantastic submissions! 😁

Maraming salamat to everyone who sent in their projects, we know how much time and effort it takes to prepare an application, and we don’t take that lightly.

We’ll be reviewing everything in the coming weeks, and as always, it won’t be easy to choose. Announcement of the selected recipients will be on September 1, 2025.

Quick update!

Due to multiple requests and a few projects still finalizing their materials, we’re extending the submission period for Cycle 3 by one more week!

📌 New deadline: July 31, 2025 – 11:59 PM

We hope this gives you just enough time to polish your applications and send them in. No other changes to the rest of the timeline. Recipients will still be announced on September 1.

Thank you to everyone who’s submitted so far, and to those still preparing, kaya pa ’yan.
