WILL TROY ROSARIO COME BACK ON TIME FOR THE GIN KINGS?
The embattled Gin Kings power forward suffered a sprained right ankle during the third quarter of their semifinals series 126-99 win over Northport Batang Pier Game 5 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Before his injury, Rosario was averaging 12.8 points, 6.65 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game in 31 minutes on the floor, a significant contribution to Tim Cone's arsenal whose squad will see action at the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals versus coach Chot Reyes TNT tropang Giga (incidentally his former team) on March 14, 2025 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The Gin Kings last won its PBA Finals back in 2023.
Despite the setback, Rosario is optimistic that he will be able to play in the upcoming game 1 of the Finals. So, he's improving every aspect of his preparation to be battle-ready when coach Tim Cone picks him anytime during the match.
Troy Rosario is eying his 2nd PBA title after having his first taste of a championship with his former TNT Tropang Giga team after winning the 2021 Philippine Cup, also known as the 2021 Honda PBA Philippine Cup at Bacolor Pampanga.
