𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | 𝐂𝐯𝐒𝐔𝐞ñ𝐨𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭

Artists, singers, and actors across different campuses and colleges clash with their artistry, creativity, and talents in 15 events of the annual Culture and Arts Festival, May 13-14.
First day shows battle for victory in Visual Arts events with College of Engineering and Information (CEIT) nearly sweeping all the events clinching gold in Pencil Drawing, Painting, Charcoal Rendering, and On-the-Spot Poster Making; while Bacoor Campus ruled the Photography contest with CEIT in second and CCJ in third.
Further, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) vanquished musical events clinching gold in Violin, Classical Guitar, and Vocal Solo - Kundiman; also capturing the hearts of the judges and crowd in Live Band with their rendition of “Peklat Cream” and “Sisikat ka Iha” of Bita and the Botflies.
Imus campus captured first place in Instrumental Solo - Banduria and Piano, while second place in Guitar and Live Band; third in Violin; moreover, CCAT Campus then nabbed silver in Violin, bronze in Guitar and Piano.
In the dramatic arts category, Imus campus secured gold in Short and Sweet Play - Musical with CEIT grabbing silver; Student Artisté Society wrapped up with gold while Imus and CEIT in silver and bronze respectively in Short and Sweet Play - Dialogue.
CCAT Campus then prevailed in Radio Drama against General Trias campus in second, Bacoor campus in third, Silang campus in fourth, and CAS in fifth place.
On the second day, musical talent continues with Imus campus securing top spot in Pop Solo event while CEIT and CEMDS in second and third place, respectively; and Main’s Prime Moverz sealing gold, Imus’ Sinagtala with silver, and Indak Silangan in bronze position in Streetdancing.
“Almost champion last year kaso ‘di naging first dahil sa time deduction so comeback po talaga ‘yung this year, sobrang halong tuwa po and iyak dahil finally nakapag champion,” explains Vaughn Elrick Magsino of CCAT’s radio drama team. [G]
