Ink That Awakened a Nation ✍️ 🇵🇭

Before freedom was fought for, it was written. Through his novels, essays, and letters, Dr. José Rizal wielded words to challenge colonial rule, expose injustice, and awaken Filipino identity that proves ideas can be as powerful as any weapon.

A physician, scholar, and patriot, Rizal believed that education and critical thinking were the true foundations of freedom. Some of his famous works, Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, stirred national consciousness that ultimately led to his ex*****on on December 30, 1896.

Today, we celebrate the day where Rizal stands not only as the Philippines’ National Hero, but as a lasting reminder that progress begins with awareness, courage, and the responsibility to think for ourselves.

ONGOING: The student councils of Makati-based departments and schools host a campus-wide Christmas event titled, "Yuletide of a Thousand Bright Echoes: A Mapúa Makati Christmas Party," at the Lobby of the Makati Campus today, December 17.

Today's activities include student performances, Christmas-themed games, and the opening of the fundraising initiative, "Basketful of Blessings."

Abinales discussing “A Glimpse of the Earthquake Load Provisions of the Next National Structural Code of the Philippines Eighth Edition,” to be held at the Seminar Room of the Intramuros Campus on December 15, 2025.
