On June 21, 2018, Republic Act No. 11036 — the Philippine Mental Health Act was signed into law.

It called for the integration of mental health into primary care, protection of patient rights, and access to services nationwide.

At the National Center for Mental Health, we continue to make this law a reality, every consultation, every crisis response, every person we serve.

The Guidance Counselors Seminar held on May 15, 2025 at the SHL-ARC Events Center, Lyceum of the Philippines University – Manila was a resounding success!

With the theme “Strengthening Access to Care Through Mental Health Facilitation,” the event brought together dedicated mental health professionals and educators from various institutions for a meaningful exchange of knowledge, insights, and best practices in promoting mental wellness in schools and communities.

Thank you to our inspiring speakers, engaged participants, and hardworking organizers who made this event impactful. Here's to stronger support systems and more inclusive mental health initiatives ahead!

𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬!

Last May 13–14, 2025, the 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐌𝐇𝐅) training took place at the ARC Classrooms, gathering faculty members, non-teaching personnel, peer facilitators, and student leaders from various colleges of LPU.

We were honored to welcome speakers from the 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐌𝐇𝐅) program under the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐈𝐧𝐜. 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 (𝐍𝐁𝐂𝐂), all the way from Greensboro, North Carolina, USA.

Their lectures empowered our university community with the knowledge and tools to foster safe, supportive environments both in school and in the wider community.

Together, we continue to champion mental wellness and break the stigma.
