Community Walk-Through & Community Risk Mapping | Barangay Sanito, Ipil, ZSP | August 10, 2026

๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿค

Every step forward begins with a shared commitment.

The Municipal Resilience Team (MResT) Organizational Meeting marked a significant milestone in the Municipality of Ipil's journey toward a stronger, safer, and more disaster resilient future under the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP).

The activity was facilitated by the KALAHI CIDSS Area Coordinating Team (ACT) and the Municipal Coordinating Team (MCT). It brought together local leaders, partner agencies, and the 28 Barangay Captains to strengthen collaboration and reaffirm a common purpose of building resilient communities through preparedness, coordination, and collective action.

Today, the Municipality of Ipil successfully conducted the Municipal Resilience Team (MResT) Organizational Meeting, marking an important milestone in strengthening local governance and enhancing the municipality's disaster resilience under the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP).

The activity was graced by Hon. Mayor Ramses Troy "Rambo" D. Olegario, together with the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) representative from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), municipal heads of offices, 28 Barangay Captains, and other key stakeholders. Their collective participation highlights the municipality's shared commitment to fostering a safer, more resilient, and disaster-prepared Ipil.

In his message, Mayor Olegario underscored the importance of proactive preparedness, emphasizing that:

"The strongest community is not the one that recovers the fastest, it is the one that prepares the earliest."

He further shared:

That is what resilience truly means."

The organizational meeting served as a venue to strengthen coordination among local government offices, barangay leaders, and partner agencies, ensuring a unified approach in resilience planning, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable community development. Through the establishment of the Municipal Resilience Team, Ipil takes another significant step toward building a community that is not only prepared to respond to disasters but is also equipped to anticipate risks and protect the welfare of every Ipileรฑo.

"Resilience begins long before disasters strikeโ€”it is built through unity, preparedness, and the shared commitment to protect every community and every life."
