September 28, 2026 - The Ipil Municipal Police Station (MPS) is conducting validation and follow-up investigation into a viral social media post alleging the presence of a group of snatchers at the comfort room (CR) area of Budgetwise in Ipil.

In a statement, the Ipil MPS said it is currently looking into the reported incident and coordinating with the concerned complainant to gather additional information that could help establish what happened and identify the individuals allegedly involved.

The police emphasized that appropriate action will be taken based on verified information and available evidence, as investigators continue their follow-up on the report.

The statement comes after the alleged incident gained attention on social media, prompting concern among members of the local community. However, the police have yet to confirm the identities of the individuals reportedly involved or establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.

The Ipil MPS urged the public to remain vigilant and immediately report suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through appropriate emergency channels.

Police said the station remains committed to protecting the community, maintaining peace and order, and ensuring the safety and security of residents in the Municipality of Ipil.

The public is likewise reminded to exercise caution when sharing information about alleged criminal incidents online and to rely on verified information from authorities as the investigation continues.
