Investing in the Future: ZSCMST Students Complete Aquaculture Training
Eight students from Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) completed a 240-hour training program at the Ipil Brackishwater Demonstration Fish Farm (IBDFF).
The hands-on program, a collaboration between ZSCMST and the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region IX (DA-BFAR IX), combined classroom learning with practical experience in aquaculture.
The students worked at the farm for several weeks, learning all aspects of fish farming under experienced staff.
Ipil Brackishwater Demonstration Fish Farm hopes that the students gained valuable skills and developed a strong work ethic, preparing them for successful careers in the industry. The training aimed to develop more than just technical skills; it also focused on building responsibility and teamwork.
