(Pero pawis ka na bago ka pa makapasok sa classroom.)

𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘀!

Handa na ba kayo? Bukas na ang unang araw ng pasukan!

Miss mo na bang makita ulit siya? O baka naman mas na-miss mo yung baon mo?
Matapos ang ilang linggong bakasyon, heto na ulit tayo. Kaya oras na para magbalik sa kanya -----
este, sa pag-aaral pala!

Handa ka na bang gumising ng maaga ulit? Yung tipong alas-siyete na, pero ayaw mo pa ring bumangon.

Bagong school year, bagong memories, bagong tropa, at oo bagong quizzes din. Pero laban lang dahil bawat unang araw, simula yan ng panibagong adventure at bagong chance na sabihin:
"This year, babawi na talaga ako sa mga exams!" (sinabi mo rin ‘yan last year, pero okay lang).

𝗔 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The entire school community was graced with a sacred and heartfelt gathering this afternoon to celebrate the birthday of our beloved school president, Rev. Fr. Odine L. Ar**la.

A solemn mass was held at the school's chapel in celebration of the inspiring leadership and the enduring spirit of service that Father Odine embodies. A celebration of a man whose presence has brought direction and growth to every corner of the school.

Presided over by Father Odine alongside with Father Gerico, the Eucharistic celebration was deeply moving and spiritually enriching. In his homily, Father Odine reflected on the biblical story of how God provided manna from heaven for the Israelites as they journeyed with Moses from Egypt to the Promised Land. Even when the people complained and doubted, God did not abandon them instead, He gave them what they needed. Father Odine used this moment to remind the congregation of a profound truth: that blessings are not given because we earn them, but because God is good. He reminded that God's love remains constant even when our faith falters. He drew a powerful connection to our own lives, reminding everyone that true blessings are gifts we do not earn or deserve, they are freely given by God out of love. If we deserve it,” he said, “ then it is no longer a blessing, it becomes a reward."

As the Mass concluded and the celebration continued, there was a shared feeling of joy and gratitude. Gratitude for the life of Father Odine, for his tireless service, and for the continued blessing of having him lead the Veritas College of Irosin family.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁

Since stepping into the role of president of Veritas College of Irosin in 2009, Rev. Fr. Odine has been much more than an administrator, he has been a caring guide and a constant source of support for everyone in our school community. Under his leadership, our school has experienced impressive growth especially in the development of its infrastructure.

When Father Odine first took on this responsibility, the challenges were many. Yet, with faith as his foundation and determination as his guide, he envisioned a school where every student could learn in an inspiring and well-equipped environment.
Over the years, that vision has taken shape through new buildings, modern facilities, and thoughtful renovations. But what makes Father Odine legacy truly remarkable is the heart he puts into every decision. He leads with humility and wisdom , always listening, always present. He guide not just with authority, but with genuine love and compassion. His door is always open and his encouragement ever steady. In times of challenge, he is a source of reassurance; in moments of celebration, he is the first to share in our joy. More than a leader, he is a friend, a father and a mentor who inspires us to grow not only in knowledge but also in character and faith.

So today, we celebrate the life of a man whose presence is a blessing to all of us, our beloved school president, 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋. 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐚. We thank him for his tireless service, his visionary leadership, and his deep love for our school community. We are grateful for all the things he did not only for the physical transformation of our school but for the spiritual and communal growth he has inspired. For the prayers he whisper behind closed doors. For the courage he carry, and for the love he give so freely, day after day. He lead with wisdom, but more so with heart.

Father Odine , your legacy is firmly rooted in our hearts and halls alike. We are grateful beyond words and we look forward to walk this journey of faith and progress with you for many years to come. May God continue to bless you with health, peace, and the same warmth you always share with us.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Religious educators, campus ministers, and social action leaders from across the nation convened yesterday for the opening of the 2025 CEAP National Christian Formation Conference held at Fr. Saturnino Urios University in Butuan City.

This year’s gathering carries the theme “𝑷2𝑷: 𝑷𝒖𝒔𝒐 𝒔𝒂 𝑷𝒖𝒔𝒐 – 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒇𝒆𝒍𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑱𝒖𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆.” Representing Veritas College of Irosin at the national event were three faculty members: 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐚, and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐄. 𝐆𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐬.

𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

The first batch of first-year students at Veritas College of Irosin attended their orientation program this morning. 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐃. 𝐓𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚, 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑨𝒇𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓 and 𝑷𝑬𝑺𝑶 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓, welcomed the new students and guided them through the key contents of the student handbook. 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐋𝐞𝐚 𝐑. 𝐆𝐫a𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚, the 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍’𝒔 𝒈𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒓, also spoke to the students about the importance of discipline and proper conduct as outlined in the handbook. In addition, Mrs. Gracilla introduced the students to their school organization and encouraged the students to take an active role in the school’s activities.

𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔.𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The second day of NSTP Orientation for the academic year 2025-2026 was held this afternoon at Fr. Escanilla Hall. It highlighted two essential pillars of the institution’s mission as a CEAP-member school: values formation and community engagement.

The first part welcomed the JEEPGY Advocates, who presented six core advocacy areas:
Justice and Peace
Ecological Integrity
Engaged Citizenship
Poverty Alleviation
Gender Equality
Youth Empowerment

Each speaker emphasized how these values shape school identity and encouraged students to become active advocates through community involvement and service.

Also, the representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection–Irosin led a Fire Safety Lecture and Workshop, equipping students with practical knowledge on fire prevention, emergency response, and basic firefighting techniques, skills that align with the NSTP’s focus on public safety and civic responsibility.

𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔.𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Veritas College of Irosin began its National Service Training Program (NSTP) Orientation on July 16 which ran from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The orientation, held at Fr. Escanilla Hall, provided incoming students with a foundation in the legal and philosophical framework of the NSTP Act of 2001 (RA 9163).

Key speakers included 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐲 (NSTP and CWTS Coordinator), 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐜𝐚ñ𝐚 (LTS Coordinator), and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐥 (NROTC Coordinator), who covered the program's guiding principles, key terms, and the importance of civic responsibility.

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻’𝘀 𝟰𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆

What once existed only as a dream sketched on paper, a vision of what a school could become, has grown into a reality. With time, and through the quiet strength of dedication, the trials of perseverance, and faith in what could be, that dream slowly found its shape and came alive.

On 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟓, a sense of reverence and celebration filled the air as Veritas College of Irosin officially opened its 𝟒𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲, a heartfelt tribute to four decades of building a school community rooted in purpose and hope.

The celebration began with the grand opening ceremony of the 𝐅𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐬 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 and the newly blessed 𝐕𝐂𝐈 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐥. Two milestones that stand as enduring symbols of the school’s journey growing not just in size, but also in spirit, purpose, and heart.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐚 𝐁. 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚, 𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍; 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐀𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧, 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 Human Resources; 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐎𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋. 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐚, 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑰𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒏. With heartfelt applause from the gathered crowd, the ribbon fell, giving way to the next chapter in the school’s journey.

Following the ribbon cutting, the unveiling of the building marker took place, solidifying the significance of the moment in stone and memory. Rev. Fr. Odine then delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the importance of the milestone and the many challenges and triumphs that have shaped the school’s legacy over the past 40 years.

A 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 followed, resonating with the spirit of the Ruby Jubilee, an expression of unity, gratitude, and hope as the school honored its past and looked forward to a future together.

𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐃’ 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 also lit up the stage with an energetic dance performance and heartfelt songs that stirred both joy and emotion in the audience.

As the sun dipped below the horizon on this historic day, Veritas College of Irosin stood tall not only in stone and concrete, but in legacy, purpose and the light of truth that continues to guide its path.
