Have you ever asked yourself: "Bakit biglang nanlamig ang puso ko kay Lord?"
There was a time when your heart was burning for God. Laging excited sa prayer meetings, passionate sa ministry, walang araw na hindi nagbabasa ng Bible. Every worship song moved you to tears, every answered prayer reminded you of His faithfulness. But now... things feel different. Para bang nawala yung apoy. Worship feels like routine, prayer feels like an obligation, and minsan you even wonder if God still hears you.
And the truth is? God never left. His presence is still as real, His love is still as deep, His promises are still as true.
Pero minsan, sa gitna ng struggles, disappointments, busyness, at mga distractions ng mundo, our hearts start to drift. Slowly, without noticing, we trade intimacy for convenience, devotion for comfort, faith for distractions. And the farther we drift, the colder we become.
Pero ang magandang balita e kahit nanlamig ka, hindi nanlamig ang Diyos sa'yo.
His love has not wavered, His arms are still open.
Kaya sa Revelation 2:4-5, He lovingly confronts US:
'You have forsaken the love you had at first.
Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.'
This is not condemnation; it's an invitation. An invitation to return, to rekindle, to remember. To go back to your "first love" that place where Christ was enough, where His presence satisfied you more than anything, where obedience was your joy, not your burden.
Kapatid, it's not too late. God can reignite your fire. Start with small steps:
-Pray even when you don't feel like it, because prayer changes your heart more than your situation.
-Open your Bible kahit ilang verse lang, His Word is fuel to your fire.
-Show up in worship, kahit hindi perfect ang puso mo, kasi sometimes, the act of coming back opens the door for Him to move again.
Your fire might feel weak, but the God who lit it before is still the same God who can breathe life into it again.
So if you feel distant, cold, or even empty, please don't give up. Instead, take one step closer to Him today. Because the moment you turn back, you'll realize: He's been waiting all along.
Your heart may be cold now, but God is still in the business of setting hearts ablaze. ๐ฅ
