MAHARLIKA UNMASKED: THE MENACE BEHIND THE MIC

In the age of noise, where misinformation is currency and social media the new parliament, one voice has risen above the din. Shrill, unrelenting, self-anointed.

Claire Contreras, more infamously known as Maharlika or Boldyakera, has paraded herself as a fearless expositor of truth, a thorn to the powerful, and a defender of the oppressed with all the backing of her puting ahas.

But as her antics spiral from the merely theatrical to the utterly destructive, we are compelled to ask: is this woman truly the crusader she claims to be, or merely another opportunist weaponizing chaos for clout?

Maharlika's rise was meteoric. Her initial exposés particularly the OFW balikbayan box scandal earned her the public’s ear.

She had substance then, and a cause that resonated with millions. But like many populist provocateurs before her, the scent of influence and the allure of applause proved too intoxicating. From a vigilant voice, she devolved into a digital demolition job.

Her political loyalty is as erratic as her livestreams, shifting from being a Marcos devotee to a venomous detractor, from mocking President Rodrigo Duterte with “Mang Kanor” and “Digongyo” to suddenly championing his cause. If this transformation seems inconsistent, that’s because it is. Her newfound reverence for the Dutertes appears not born out of principle, but convenience, a narrative that sells, a bandwagon worth clinging to.

The Hague debacle revealed the full extent of Maharlika’s narcissism. What was meant to be a solemn, unified show of support for PRRD amid his ICC detention became a one-woman spectacle of grievance and finger-pointing.

Caught in a fit over a birthday party miscommunication and security protocols she chose to interpret as personal slights, she declared sabotage not from adversaries, but from Duterte’s own loyalists.

And then the spiral continued.

Jasmin Egan, a long-trusted confidante and assistant of Tatay Digong became the newest target in Maharlika’s hate campaign. Without proof, without restraint, and certainly without conscience, Maharlika vilified a woman who has served PRRD with quiet dignity. Egan, to her credit, remained silent, enduring the attacks “for the sake of SIR PRRD.” But silence should never be mistaken for weakness or being wrong.

In an astonishing display of petulance, Maharlika has now turned her wrath on longstanding Duterte supporters. Those who have held the line even in the darkest of political storms. Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles. Krizette Laureta Chu. Byron Cristobal. Joie Cruz. Even the humble volunteers in The Hague, whom she slandered without remorse. What do they all have in common? They refused to bend the knee to Claire. That is their only crime.

While everyone prayed and held vigils for PRRD's 100th day in detention, Maharlika went on live attacking and accusing "Alpot" and the "Alputeras." Calling OG Duterte supporters double agents and paid hacks.

While everyone in Davao supported the very first DU30Run, Maharlika went on live again, calling the event another money making scam or pambubudol. When will she ever stop?

And now, to crown her descent, she launches a makeup line called ICC - Iconic Claire Collective. A cosmetic brand named after the very institution detaining the man she claims to support. Either she is laughing at the cause, or profiting from its pain. Either way, the hypocrisy is blinding.

So we return to the most important question: What really is her endgame? Who is she working for? What exactly is her advocacy? Because if her goal is to destroy lives, humiliate allies, and weaken the Duterte base from within, then she is succeeding brilliantly. But that is not the work of a supporter. That is the handiwork of a saboteur.

Let this not be mistaken as an attack. This is a mirror held up to Maharlika, a last plea for clarity. Perhaps she is simply lost, wandering through the digital wilderness, confusing fame for purpose and outrage for truth. Perhaps her well of informants has run dry, and in its place, only bitterness remains. Or perhaps, and this is the grimmest possibility, she was never truly with us to begin with.

Yes, Claire is a U.S. citizen. She can very well hop on the next flight, burn reputations from afar, and log off without consequence. But the scars she leaves behind are real. Lives are ruined. Reputations are razed. Communities, once united in purpose, are fractured, demoralized, and gaslit.

And what of Maharlika? She walks away, as always. Unrepentant, unhinged, and unaccountable.

This is your crossroads, Maharlika. Sit down. Reflect. Recalibrate. You were once a voice that mattered.

But now, with every accusation, every tantrum, every fabricated crusade, you are becoming the very thing you once claimed to expose.

Rise above this, or be remembered not as a patriot, but as another cautionary tale.

Senator Risa Hontiveros has finally been unmasked.

Senator Risa’s latest move to file a cyber-libel case complaint against twelve (12) individuals, including Duterte-allied vloggers exposed what she truly is – a human rights violator – from what she initially portrayed as a human rights defender.

To refresh the minds of our dear readers, Senator Risa filed Senate Bill No. 1593 decriminalizing libel. The lady lawmaker even cited the case of Frank Cimatu who was convicted by a Quezon City court after former Agriculture Secretary Manny Pinol charged the journalist with cyber-libel for a 2017 Facebook post.

Apparently, Sen. Risa ate her words. In her defense of Senate Bill No. 1593, Hontiveros underscored that the rise and prevalence of social media as a primary medium of communication ha sled to the further weaponization of libel laws against the press and citizenship. Her lame excuse why she backtracked: to combat fake news.

In this conenction, I firmly believe that without fake news we would not know what good content is. This should not be taken that I am encouraging the production and proliferation of fake news. Far from it.

“Even a false statement may be deemed to make a valuable contribution to public debate, since it brings about the ‘clearer perception and livelier impression of truth,’ produced by its collision of error,” the United States Supreme Court said, quoting John Stuart Mill.

I, too, have been a victim of fake news. As you are all aware, I am the most bashed Duterte official. But I always believe that it comes with the territory, and I can only hope that because people were given by God the ability to discern what is true and what is false, it is ultimately the public and the free marketplace of ideas that should adjudge what the truth is, and that should put ultimately the penalty on purveyor of fake news. This is the rea*on why I have not filed a single libel case against my harshest critics and fiercest detractors.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte likewise adheres in the freedom of speech and free marketplace of ideas, and he has demonstrated this in his entire public career. As a public official, the fPRRD has not filed a libel case against his political enemies.

Any content-based restriction, in my legal opinion, is heavily presumed to be unconstitutional. In a democracy, no individual or institution can monopolize the truth, ideas or concepts, including the posts we read online.

Enlighted citizens should be able to pick out chaff from the grain and appreciate what good content is.

Don’t Let Others Stop You From Turning Your Boy Into Men

You’re not simply raising boys.
You’re shaping tomorrow’s protectors.
Tomorrow’s providers.
Tomorrow’s leaders.

If you allow comfort and softness to rule your home
if you trade discipline for ease
you won’t just lose your sons…
You’ll send unprepared, broken men into a world that already has far too many.

Let’s make something clear:

The world isn’t moved by a man’s feelings it values his actions and results.

If anyone says your discipline is “too harsh,” “old-school,” or “too much,” remind them:

You’re not raising a pet
you’re raising a man ready for battle.

Here’s the truth:

1. You’re Not Just a Parent You’re a Craftsman
Your job isn’t to nag it’s to shape.
Boys must have their pride molded.
Their emotions strengthened.
Their desires directed.

If you don’t mold your son?

The streets will.
The system will.
The graveyard will.

All that “gentle parenting” won’t matter if he can’t control himself, respect others, or lead a family.

Strength over softness—always.
And stop letting others confuse discipline with cruelty.

2. Keep Disagreements Behind Closed Doors

If your partner undermines you in front of your children? You lose authority, fast.

When Mom says, “He’s too strict,” or dismisses your words in front of them?
She’s not protecting them, she’s dividing the home.

When parents stand divided, no one listens.
And once your son stops respecting your word?
It’s hard to get it back.

Talk privately.

But in front of the kids? You stand united.
You’re the father. That’s it.

3. Providing Isn’t Just Financial It’s Leadership

Want respect? Provide.
Want your words to matter? Provide.

Provision isn’t about luxury cars or flashy things.
It’s about carrying the load.
Making sure the lights stay on.
Making sure your family feels safe.

If you lead and provide, you earn the right to lead at home. Don’t hand over your role.

The man who provides shouldn’t have to beg for respect.

4. Focus on Your Own Family First

You’re not the world’s savior.
You don’t need to rescue every situation.
Your priority is your household.

Every moment you spend focused on others’ families while your own children miss out?
You’re planting seeds of resentment.
One day, your child may ask,
“Why weren’t you there for me?”
Intentions won’t matter, your presence will.

Focus on your own house first.
Build your legacy before trying to fix anyone else’s.

5. Fight For Your Children Like Everything Depends On It. Because It Does

Don’t let the courts strip your rights.
Don’t let anyone say you’re “too distant” to be involved. Fathers matter.

A strong father reduces crime, depression, and countless other issues.

Kids, especially boys thrive with Dad around.

If the system tries to take them?
Fight back.
With your name.
With your time.
With your resources.

Because your sons don’t just need you to show up—they need you to lead.

Final Word:

You’re Raising Men Who Will Shape The World
Never apologize for being strong.
Don’t back down because others get emotional.
Don’t fold because someone calls you “toxic.”

Weak homes raise weak men.
Fathers stepping back is why the world’s in trouble.
Lead with love but also with firmness.
Because storms will come for your sons someday.

And when that happens?

The only shield they’ll have is the discipline and strength you instilled.
So speak up.
Stand tall.

Raise your boys into men the world will respect.

27/06/2025

Scientists from China and the University of Sydney have made a concerning discovery in bat kidney tissue samples collected in Yunnan Province between 2017 and 2021.
