โ€Žโ€Ž In the midst of emerging technologies that bridge the gaps between the academe and the industry, Engr. Hamzer โ€œ๐˜๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ปโ€ Adrias Tacbil is among the heroes who cultivates competence in his students. An emerging instructor from a 6-year-old course offered by the College of Engineering, the Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Sir Hamz carries a commitment to produce high-caliber learners, equipped in both knowledge and skills, and ready to face the real-world endeavor as future ECEs.

Engr. Tacbil or โ€œ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ณ ๐˜๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ป,โ€ born and raised in the municipality of Palimbang, earned his degree in Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering (BSECE) at Mindanao State Universityโ€”GenSan, batch 2020, and later gained his license in 2022. Interestingly, engineering was not Sir Hamzโ€™s first choice; he initially wanted to enroll in accountancy. It was his older sister who gently persuaded him to pursue engineering instead, believing in his potential and knowing that such path was rare not only in their municipality but even within their family. That moment of guidance became a turning point, shaping a way that would allow him to inspire others, and bring honor as the first engineer in the family.

๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฎ ๐— ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป

Outside his career as a professional practitioner, Sir Hamz is also an advocate for empowering young Bangsamoros. Through leadership and education, he aims to break stereotypes and prove to them (the younger generation) that they can also stand out in their communities and, most importantly, in their academics. Sir Hamzโ€™s commitment is evident through the principles he applies in his teaching and the life that he leads. Furthermore, as a person who came from the field of electronics engineering and has experience in academia, where he has gained wisdom from his work, his advocacy immortalizes the idea that "War is not the answer; the solution starts by having a good education."

โ€Ž Meanwhile, Sir Hamz's transition from industry to teaching was the most crucial stage his career. While serving as a contractor, he explored the broad side of the industrial sector, from Cebu to CDO and other parts of Mindanao. As a key contributor to the fiber-net company, he helped provide faster connections and innovations that benefited both overseas and urban areas. He was soon caught by the influence of his mother, who was also a dedicated teacher, he once thought, โ€œWhy not try teaching?โ€ Drawing from his knowledge and experience, he promised himself to show students the realities of life. As he once told them, โ€œTo all students, the real battle begins after you graduate. We have to work this out, even with just a small amount of time.โ€ This lesson, drawn from his own realizations, had a profound meaning to his innate talent as an educator.

โ€Ž As an ECE educator and faculty moderator, Sir Hamzโ€™s work ethics has remained consistent, and time or workload has never held him back. One of his goals beyond his taught course and unto the entire department is about producing graduates who are academically competent and ultimately skillful. In his own way, Sir Hamz has shown how his guidance helps the graduates to bridge gaps as he allows them to embody the valuable experiences, he gained from working in the industry. He emphasizes that, โ€œThe strictness and the standards that we implement are for the engineering department,โ€ bringing his passion to produce excellent results. โ€Ž

โ€ŽWhen challenges arise, Sir Hamz perseveres despite the demands of teaching, handling students, and managing administrative duties. At times, these responsibilities can become obstacles to his teaching path and consistency, not only for him but also for other faculty members at SKSU. As one of the core members of the workforce in COE, his purpose as โ€œmoderatorsโ€ of the ECE program supports not only his students and extends towards the entire department. Today, handling and monitoring students has become easier, proving that collaboration strengthens the link between knowledge and responsibility. โ€Ž

Sir Hamz, keeping his promise to always optimize opportunities and push his students beyond their limits. He often talks about the word โ€˜๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ฌ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ฆโ€™ on his class, which he soon revealed that it is meant โ€˜to be lived out.โ€™ Sir Hamz consistently emphasizes that engineers are far more than a โ€œjack of all trades, master of none.โ€ He guides students to trust their abilities and feel secure in the paths they will choose, reminding them, โ€œNo matter what course youโ€™re in, what truly matters are the qualities youโ€™ve acquired and developed.โ€

๐—ช๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜

โ€Ž โ€ŽAlways focused on readiness at its finest, Engr. Tacbil has prioritized programs that enhances learning and board exam preparation of ECE students. As the person in charge of the โ€œEnhancement Program 1 and 2,โ€ with the strong support of the ECE program chairman, Engr. Alexis Gallo, they were able to produce a Top 2 ECT from the first batch of ECE's alumni during the Electronics Technician Licensure Examination last April 2025; the very first topnotcher in SKSUโ€“Isulan campus and the College of Engineering, proving its impact on both exam performance and future readiness. Sir Hamz constantly strive to ensure that the ECE program, including those courses with board exams, will continue to adapt in the future. Their hard work paid off and is clear. He has shown that when you commit yourself wholeheartedly, success is within reach.

โ€Ž โ€Ž Beyond his achievements, Sir Hamzโ€™s approach to teaching is truly inspiring. He strives to create an environment where students give their bestโ€”not only in learning but also in listening. For him, maintaining strictness does not mean being harsh; it means teaching students how to respond appropriately when interacting with authority. By enforcing time limits and setting clear expectations, he prepares students for future challenges and helps them apply what they learn to real-life situations.

โ€Ž โ€ŽBehind this discipline, Sir Hamzโ€™s sense of humor and playful nature provide balance to his class environment. He believes that, โ€œSometimes you donโ€™t have to follow whatโ€™s written in the book. Focusing on just one approach,โ€ he says, โ€œcan bore students.โ€ That is why he created a blendโ€”a combination of methods. He connects industry with academics, humor with strictness, experience with teaching, and individual effort with unity. The result is a learning environment that is engaging, balanced, and truly inspiring. โ€Ž

โ€ŽIn his class, being well-rounded is not enough to break the cycle of mediocrity. Under the guidance of Sir Hamz, every learner is challenged, carved, and polished to overcome that cycle.

โ€Ž โ€ŽTo Engr. Hamzer โ€œ๐˜๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ปโ€ Adrias Tacbil, being well-rounded is never the finish line; it is the starting point of a breakthroughโ€”one that transforms students into excellent learners and competent professionals prepared for the unfolding future. His ideals in bridging the gap between academe and industry prompts deep reverence for the institution as a generator of solutions, embodied in its most valuable productโ€”the students.

There was once a sovereign unlike any other, a king whose name still drifts through the mists of legend: Altria Aurevia. At a very young age, she was taught what a king was by her Father; as she grew older, she denied her own humanity for the sake of her ideal. To her, the crown was not a symbol of privilege but of sacrifice. A true king, she believed, must not falter, must not yield to weakness, nor allow personal desire to cloud judgment. So, she abandoned the warmth of mortal feeling and remade herself into the perfect king.

With her hands, she drew forth Excalibur, the Sword of Promised Victory, a weapon that could only be wielded by one deemed worthy of heavenโ€™s grace. With it, she defended Britain and led her knights from triumph to triumph. Her figure upon the battlefield was a vision of unbroken resolveโ€”invincible, untouchable, radiant with the light of her ideals. Never once did she taste defeat. Never once did her blade fail. For a time, Britain basked in her brilliance.

But perfection carries a hidden curse. The very flawlessness that made her great also made her distant. She spoke with justice, but without warmth. She judged with fairness, but without understanding. Her people saw her not as a human being to be followed, but as a figure carved from stone, a ruler whose heart no one could reach. The love of her subjects slowly cooled into doubt. Faith began to waver. Whispers grew.

The final wound came not from an enemy, but from her beloved son. Her own son rose against her, carrying with him the rebellion that shattered Britainโ€™s fragile unity. To Altria, it was an incomprehensible betrayal.
Had she not given everything? Had she not bled, fought, and abandoned her own self for their sake? She had cast aside her humanity to embody the ideal of kingship, yet her people, her very bloodโ€”turned against her. She could conquer armies, but not the human heart. She could win every battle, but not the love of her kingdom.

The irony of her fate revealed itself. The King of Knights, who never once fell in combat, was undone by the very people she swore to protect. She did not fall to blade, nor arrow, nor fire, but to the silence of hearts that no longer believed. In the end, Britain crumbled, and with it, the king who had staked her very soul on its survival.

Yet even facing the betrayal of her son and the bloodshed of her beloved people, Altria never abandoned her vow. She held fast to her duty until the very last breath, wielding Excalibur not for herself, but for the land she loved, even as it slipped beyond saving. In the end, she won and crushed the rebellion of her son at the cost of her kingdom. She spent her last breath seeing the mountains of bodies and rivers of blood the rebellion had brought forth. For the first time in decades she cried; the heavens themselves wept before her. She died as she had lived: loyal, unwavering, a servant to her ideal. She was flawless, but because she was flawless, she was never truly human. Because she was not human, her people could not love her.

Thus endures the legend of Altria Aurevia:
The king who was perfect.
The king who was alone.
The king who could never be defeated except by herself.
