Hiring a band doesn’t mean hiring a full production team.
Ang role ng banda ay tumugtog. Hindi magdala ng buong entablado.

Ang binabayaran nyo ay ang talento at performance.
Pag pinagdala nyo pa ng backline, ng sariling tech, ng lights, ng cables, ng mic stand, etc…
You’re no longer booking a band. You’re booking a production crew.

Kung ‘passion gig’ lang siya or budgeted event, be honest.
Maraming banda ang willing tumulong basta klaro ang usapan.
Wag lang nating iasa lahat sa banda, tapos babayaran ng “pang-merienda.”

We’re musicians. We rehearse. We practice. We invest in our gear.
We show up ready to give a show not to troubleshoot your event for you.

What Bands Usually Expect:

When you say “may sound system na”, bands typically assume:
• There’s a drum kit (or at least a shell kit)
• There are amps for guitar, keyboard and bass
• There are keyboard stands
• There are monitor wedges
• There’s a tech crew (or point person)

Pag wala ‘yan, the band needs to bring and haul everything, which:
• Adds to travel costs
• Increases load-in/load-out time
• Causes stress before performance
• Makes your event look unorganized

We’re not being maarte.
We just want to give you the performance you paid for nang hindi nauubos ang energy namin sa paghanap ng mic stand o sa pagbuhat ng buong drumset.

🎸 🎯 BAND REMINDER BEFORE ACCEPTING GIGS

Bands, wag tayong pa-“oo agad.” Gigs are exciting, but protect your energy, time, and gear.
Before you say yes, ask these non-negotiable questions:
✅ 1. May sound system ba?
• Anong klaseng setup? May mixer? Ilan ang microphones?

✅ 2. May backline ba?
• Drumset, amps, keyboard stand provided ba?
• Kung wala, sino magdadala? Kami ba lahat?

✅ 3. May tech team or point person ba on-site?
• Sound engineer? Event coordinator?

✅ 4. Anong oras ang call time vs actual performance time?
• I-clear ang load-in, soundcheck, and set duration.

✅ 5. How much is the talent fee?
• Kelan ang bayad? On-site ba or after the gig? (Magpadownpayment to avoid wasting that specific date na binook tas icacansel lang pala)
• May transportation/meals ba?

✅ 8. Is this an exposure gig or paid gig?
• Okay lang kung exposure but dapat klaro at informed decision ‘yan.

📍 You’re not being maarte,
You’re being professional.

📍 Set clear terms early to avoid last-minute stress.
The more organized the band is, the more respected it becomes.

📍 Kung hindi maayos ang usapan, you have the right to say no.

𝙈𝙊𝙉𝙆𝙀𝙔𝙋𝙊𝙓 (𝙈𝙋𝙊𝙓)

As of May 30, 2025, Cabanatuan City has recorded 𝙏𝙃𝙍𝙀𝙀 𝙍𝙀𝘾𝙊𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝘾𝘼𝙎𝙀𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙈𝙊𝙉𝙆𝙀𝙔𝙋𝙊𝙓 (now officially termed mpox).

According to the City Health Office – City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, the first mpox case was laboratory confirmed in March, while the other two were detected in April and May respectively.

Dr. Arminda A. Adecer, City Health Officer II, reported that identified individuals had undergone strict monitoring and isolation, and are now fully recovered. She also stated that there is no evidence of widespread community transmission of the said illness. All suspected cases and probable cases are immediately tested through the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) for confirmation.

The public is hereby reminded to:

✅OBSERVE RESPIRATORY ETIQUETTE (such as covering mouth when coughing or sneezing)

✅WASH HANDS FREQUENTLY WITH SOAP AND WATER OR AN ALCOHOL-BASED HAND SANITIZER

✅REFRAIN FROM GOING TO CROWDED PLACES AND BEING IN CONTACT WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE MPOX OR WHO ARE MANIFESTING SYMPTOMS OF MPOX (fever, headache, muscle aches, back pain, chills and exhaustion)

Those who are experiencing symptoms of mpox stated-above are strongly encouraged to immediately report to the City Health Office - City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit through their hotline number 0919-081-0167 for their information and appropriate action.

The City Government of Cabanatuan will continue its surveillance effort in case finding and contact tracing to prevent the spread of the disease.
