By January 5, 2026, the 1,095 learners of Jati Elementary School will see another improvement as the tiling of the school stage has started this morning, funded by MOOE (Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses) and GPTA (General Parents-Teachers Association) funds. It is expected that more than 380 tiles will be used for the stage floor, stairs, and front of the stage.

Helping and assisting the carpenter are the school auxiliary personnel and the GPTA Officers headed by their President, Retired Policeman, Hasim T. Karim.

The teachers, parents and the entire community of Jati Elementary School are thankful to Sir Margani J. Kastiri, MAED, for the said project that will improve the school and benefit the learners in various activities.

NEWS II Linggisan Publication secures Third RSPC Participation, Hamid bags Gold

Six (6) members of Linggisan, the official school publication of Jati Elementary School , Jolo III District took part in the 2025 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held on April 20-24 at Marawi City with the theme: "Empowering Bangsamoro Youth through Media: Championing Peacebuilding and Progress."

The five-day RSPC was participated by the young campus journalists throughout the 11 Schools Division in Bangsamoro region both elementary and secondary level. The above-mentioned Linggisan Publication writers were among the representatives of the Sulu Division.

Interestingly, Darweena Hamid , the pride of Jati Elementary School became triumphant as she took home the gold medal in Feature Writing Filipino. She is set to represent BARMM in the 2025 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) to be held in Ilocos Sur sometime in May.

In addition, Najiah Rasul , bagged silver medal ranking third in Photojournalism Filipino. Rasul was also a regional winner in the same category ranking fifth in RSPC 2024 in Lamitan City. On the other hand, Mischa H. Alora, secured the fifth spot in Column Writing English making her a bronze medalist.

Other RSPC qualifiers were Al-Husaif A. Haayudini for Editorial Cartooning English, Al-Zakir H. Concubierta and Fhadzramae D. Hamsirani for Copyreading and Headline Writing English and Filipino respectively.

They were accompanied by the four School Paper Advisers and championmakers namely: Mr. Jul-Amin M. Hadil, three times RSPC and two times NSPC Coach, Hja. Erum Hajan Pulaw , MAED, Mrs. Goelgelina J. Arakani, MAED and Mrs. Fireezia-Imada P. Tacata, MAED, both two times RSPC Coaches respectively and the supportive parents of the contestants.

Moreover, from last year's 6 over 9 to this year 3 over 6, Jati ES is the only school with gold medalists and NSPC qualifiers for two consecutive years with last year's win of Adawiya A. Jumahali in Editorial Writing Filipino in Lamitan City.

Alhamdulillah the Volume I, Issue No. 2 covering July 2024-April 2025 Issues ready for release.

This 14 pages tabloid printed in A4 size is the ticket of the 6 Linggisan Publication campus journalists who will represent Sulu in the upcoming 2025 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) in Marawi City.

Thank you to Jati ES ICT Coordinator Sir Alner I. Hadjirul and Sir Bhaginda D. Jinnul for these incredible layouts.

NEWS II Linggisan Publication CJs retain Supremacy

Despite the time constraints and less than a week of preparation due to EOSY activities, the Linggisan Campus Journalists of Jati Elementary School , Jolo III District District , were still able to retain their throne garnering 15 medallions out of 18 categories competed during the 2025 Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held on April 5-6 at Mohammad Tulawie Central School, Jolo I District with the theme: "Empowering Bangsa Sug Youth through Media: Championing Peacebuilding and Progress."

The two-day DSPC was participated by 68 elementary campus journalists with 15 school paper advisers and 137 high school campus journalists with 13 SPAs throughout Sulu Division.

Interestingly, Linggisan CJs bagged 6 gold, 8 silver and 1 bronze medallions. In addition, four Linggisan CJs won 4 major positions during the election for Campus Journalists Guild.

The 6 gold medalists are the official representatives of SDO Sulu to the 2025 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) on April 19-26 at Marawi City.

Historically, Linggisan CJs started their winning streak in 2018 DSPC winning 5 medals with four gold out of five entries. In 2023, Linggisan sent 6 CJs and took home 11 medals with 7 gold. The DSPC 2024 was the grand achievement of Linggisan CJs bagging 13 medals out of 16 categories with 9 gold and represented SDO Sulu in the 2024 RSPC in Lamitan City where 6 of the 9 CJs won 3 bronze, 2 silver and 1 gold which qualified the Linggisan Managing Editor, Adawiya Zela-zela , to the 2024 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) at Carcar City, Cebu.

They were accompanied by the four School Paper Advisers namely: Mr. Jul-Amin M. Hadil, Hja. Erum Hajan Pulaw Pulaw ,MAED, Mrs. Goelgelina J. Arakani, MAED and Mrs. Fireezia-Imada P. Tacata, MAED.

After being named as the YES-O President of the Sulu Division Learners Government, Jati Elementary School incoming SELG President Darweena Hamid , took her oath after the Schools Division Superintendent, Hji. Kiram K. Irilis, PhD during the Oath Taking Ceremony held at the facade of the Division Office on March 19, 2025.

She was accompanied by the SELG Assistant Moderator, Ma'am Fireezia-Imada P. Tacata-Bassal, MAED.

Jati Elementary School congratulates its incoming SELG President, Darweena Hamid, for being elected as YES-O President, Division Level during the Sulu Division Learners Government Election held on March 19, 2025 at the Division Covered Court.

Hamid was elected as SELG Vice President and YES-O President at the District Level which qualified her to represent Jolo III District at the Division Level.

She was accompanied by the SELG Assistant Moderator, Teacher Fireezia-Imada P. Tacata-Bassal, MAED.

Congratulations to DARWEENA UDOK HAMID, President of the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) for being elected as the PRESIDENT of Jolo III District Youth Environment School Organization (YES-O) and VICE PRESIDENT of Jolo III District Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) during the District Level Election on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the District Office.

She was accompanied by her Class Adviser and SELG Assistant Moderator, Mrs. Goelgelina J. Arakani, MAED.

Hamid is a consistent honor pupil (Top 1) since Kindergarten up to this time. She once held the positions of Muse and Vice President and was elected as President of the SELG for the School Year 2025-2026.

Thank you to the SELG Moderator and Activity Coordinator, Mr. Jul-Amin M. Hadil and the Master Teacher-II/Teacher In-Charge, Mr. Margani J. Kastiri, MAED, for the unwavering support.
